Well, for the last 25 years I lived and worked in the Silicon Valley (San Jose, CA) and recenty just relocated back to Pennsylvania. I know, why would I leave CA for PA? Well, for 23 years I worked in the Printed Circuit Board manufacturing arena as a Product / Sales Engineer. After years of being exposed to heavy metals and solvents I was diagnosed with Parkinsons in 1998, my company shutdown in 2003 and moved to Arizona. Since the cost of living is so high in California it was time for me to move on and be closer to my family. It was very hard to leave my friends and everything I did while living there. I was very proud of my radio show on KFJC 89.7FM - "The Big Guitar Show" was on every saturday afternoon from 3-6pm - went on the air 02/87 and my last regular show ended the 14 year run on 12/29/2001. People tuned in for the music - rockabilly, jump blues, americana, punk, insurgent country and a heavy dose of Link Wray. Plus, my own brand of bumbling, stumbling back announcing and in-studio fun. Out of the blue, The Legendary Stardust Cowboy, Pieman or Prof Jud Cost would show up for even more on air fun. Bands that played "live" in studio on The Big Guitar Show include: Paul Ansell's Number Nine, Rocky Burnette, Darrel Higham, The Nu-Niles, Ike and the Capers, The Jigsaw Seen, Jimmy Silva and the Goats, The Paladins, Al Foul and the Shakes, The Bellyachers, Ray Condo, Young Fresh Fellows, Rockin' lloyd Tripp and the Zipguns and many more.........After leaving the radio station i started Cracked Piston Recordings and my initial release was the latest from The Legendary Stardust Cowboy "Tokyo" - to find out more go to www.crackedpistonrecordings.com
I'm currently doing well here in PA, help out at Get Hip Recordings in Pittsburgh, busy taking care of my health and enjoying life.
