About Me

About me? This is the hard part. I think I am a good person- oblivious and or hard-headed at times but always good-hearted. Sporratically creative and on the look out for how to remake something...someday? I like to collect Vintage clothing, 40's and 50's~ Or 80's glam or 60's Rodeo Queen, whatever strikes my fancy! I've started playing with photography, I am ADDICTED to my camera, "Thank You Thank You Valerie!".*** see my photo/art/artist appreciation page "deborah" on my friends list. Let me know what You think of my pics!*** ==I have made, reworked and designed jewelry on and off for years, "Retail Therapy Jewelry" NOW available at "Black and Brown", San Jose AND "Nirvana Salon", Los Gatos== *~COMING SOON "Retail Therapy" On-line~*....More to come, gotta go get the tire for my 1964 HONDA CB 77 Super Hawk...OK I'm back! (My most-excellent neighbor, "Neighbor Mike" of Rabers Parts Mart in San Jose, purveyor of hard to find parts and super service for your vintage European bikes, just put the tire on for me. Hide your kids I'm hittin' the road...kinda) The Honda is a newer aquisition, and I LOVE IT! I thought with my many miles on the moped as a kid, the hundreds of hours in the saddle (on my horses), the miles on the back of assorted cafe' bikes and driving a stick shift car, "I can learn how to ride a motorcycle!!??" So I've ridden the bike about 20+ times now, its great! Its cute and fun to ride!! ( and heavy!!)I've been riding horses for more than 20 years- and have had my current horse 24 years! He is really the "Best Horse in the Whole World"! If the universe ran my way~ I could play with horse, dog and camera all day long, hit the live music shows at night and still manage to pay the bills!! ...but if the Universe ran MY way, I think I would opt to just not have bills!?! yeah...Astrology, Psychology, Graphology and any other "ology" that helps me understand what makes people "tick" or leads to any sort of human understanding, are all subjects I would like to know much more about. Learning more about Photograpy and honing my magical powers are at the top of my "to do" list currently.Be my friend, for real...*and scroll ALL the way through my web store, I gots lots of stuff going right now!!

My Interests

(this is weird, all this talkin' about me!) I like: *Music; live, local and playing loud in my car!* *Horses. Horses. Horses.* Most animals. Dressing up. Dressing down. Playing outside. Foreign(sp?) and Art Films. *Kind and Thoughtful People*. Good Conversation. Fresh fruits and veggies. Home cooked meals. Junk food. Old cars. Old Motorcycles. Old Clothes. *Weird old things that can be made into new weird things.* STREET FINDS. Shoes; hey, I'm a girl! Jewelry, antique and handmade. Learning. Reading. Crappy TV to make the bad-day go away. Being busy. Being quiet with a glass of wine- or without. *Laughing joyfully and silly-ly!* ~~*Finding absolute happiness in a moment and appreciating it fully*~~. Wearing lots of eyeliner! Horse kisses. Dog kisses. Cat kisses. Pygmy goat kisses. *Man kisses!* DAVE. Hugs. Slurpees. Gelato. People Watching. The Ocean. Things living in the Ocean.*My digital Camera* Art. Artists. Talking to animals. Sharing a joke. *My dear true wonderful amazing friends*. ME!

I'd like to meet:

Interesting, creative, caring and artistic people who's shared AND decidedly different experiences both, will lead to mental and emotional enlightenment. A big, hearty, belly-laugh is also appreciated in my trip thru this life!! Wonderful caring people to share the above mentioned activities and experiences with, lets go live a little...ok, ALOT!I WOULD really and truly like to meet Caesar Millan, the "Dog Whisperer".

Music:

MUSE! Muse is my very favorit-est "new" band! *Ok, add a new super-excellent-fav type band, "She Wants Revenge", the cd is soo good I have listened to it for the better part of a week. Makes you squinch up your lips and feel reeal "bad", tee hee..! Love the '80's Underground and New Wave, Punk, Industrial and Goth, oooh. College Radio~ KFJC, KSCU, KSJS. The POwer Pop Show, oh yeah...On the other end of the spectrum is 40's Big Band Swing, Rockabilly, Dixieland Jazz. Add a bit of really old Country Swing, Brit Pop- new and old, Acoustic Guitar of the Classical variety, throw in some dreamy Celtic or rousing Irish drinking songs and that might shed some light on my musical taste.

Movies:

A few do like; "Titus Andronicus" with Anthony Hopkins, "Apocalypse Now", "Amalie". Seems as if there is never enough time to see all the great independant/films out there... Oh, but now I got me the NetFlicks! "Dandelion" was really good, as was "Thumbsucker".

Television:

Whatever comes in on Channel 36! Ha ha ha, but its true! Its so rare I look at the tv, BUT "Cops" IS excellent.

Books:

~~Pronoia~~by Rob Brezny. Everyone should own a copy. Everyone.

Heroes:

Those brave honest people who march to the tune of a different drummer~ their own~no matter what "the other" people think or say! Forward ho fearless friends!! For real Philanthropists. People who take an active loving role in raising their children. *Firemen, Policemen, EMTs, Nurses, Tow Truck Drivers; all those people who dedicate themselves to the well being of total strangers.* People who are kind to animals. ~People who say nice things about other people and mean it.~ Teachers.
