I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm an artist and musician, singer and psalmist, and a young Old Catholic Priest.
I love the Church - the Body of Christ. (Sometimes I have a little trouble understanding some of the members of the family, but I love the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.)
I'm a Missionary Priest - or a Priest on a Mission. I am preparing to launch St. Andrew - the First Called - Old Catholic Church. What's an 'Old' Catholic Church? It's a Church that is rooted in ancient faith realities (many of which are discarded or discredited by newer faith movements) however, it's a Church that teaches, practices and experiences these ancient faith realities now in the 21st century just like in the 1st century. It is evangelical, but not Protestant. It is orthodox, but not Jewish. It is catholic, but not Roman. It isn't non-denominational - it is pre-denominational. It has believed, taught, preserved, defended and died for the Faith of the Apostles since the Day of Pentecost 2000 years ago.
What kind of Church am I planting? That's a good question these days, isn't it. Will I be serving Starbucks and snacks? (I like both - a little too much.) But the Church is more than just a passing fad hopping on every new blade of 'fashion' and 'flair.' The Church runs deeper and impacts the very hearts of men and women enough to bleed their last drop again and again for the relationship within the Church - the True Church - the joined Body of Jesus Christ.

As an Old Catholic Priest, I hold to the faith that was, and is, and will be held as the truth based upon the prophets and apostles with Jesus being the "Rock of Alignment." This is what St. Andrews Old Catholic Church is built on; not the tradition of men, but the Holy Tradition of the Faith that we have received.
Why an 'Old' Catholic Church? The 'Old Catholics' are better known in Europe. By 'Old' I don't mean that the Mass is in Latin, but rather, we return to the 'Old Ways' - the 'Ancient Faith', back before there was a Roman Catholic Church and an Eastern Orthodox Church, back when there was just One Catholic Church - the Church of the Seven Ecumenical Councils - the Church of the first 1000 years. Back to the Early Church faith.
As a musician, I enjoy playing the piano - solo or in a band. There's nothing like praising God with Tabernacle of David, Harp and Bowl Worship.
My mission is to encourage others, be a helping hand, not as a 'superior' but as someone who has a little love and grace to share.
and the most asked question... "How can you be a 'proud parent' and be a Catholic Priest?" The answer is: a) I wasn't always a Priest, b) Old Catholic Priests are permitted to marry - just like the Eastern Orthodox Priests, c) all of the above (the correct answer).

My Interests

Orthodox Christian History, Early Church lifestyle, Music, Blues, Rock, Jazz, Harp and Bowl Worship, Eastern and Western Liturgy, St. Francis, Franciscans, People of Prayer, the National Day of Prayer, House Churches, Charismatic Catholics, ICCRS,

Helping the poor, defending those who can't defend themselves.

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet friends from a diverse cultural background , who feel that God wants them to make a difference in their community by growing in their faith who will pray and seek discernment if the Lord is calling them to join me in planting a Bible Study, Mission, Church, Outreach Ministry, Worship Center, House of Prayer, Healing Room, Spiritual Direction Center (whatever name you want to call it).I am looking for Catholic, Orthodox, Episcopal individuals who want to experience the reality of their spirituality - connecting with God and others. I am looking for Charismatic and Evangelicals, Word of Faith and other 'mainline' denominational people who have an experience with God, but are seeking a connecting with the Early Church and Ancient Faith Spirituality. I am looking for musicians who want to 'jam for Jesus' in praise and worship (as well as community projects), psalmists and liturgically gifted singers. I am looking for individuals who has a passion for ministering to children and youth with real, solid, non-illusionary, hypocritical religious methods. I am looking for 'marketplace ministers' whose vocation is 'doctor, lawyer, indian chief,' professional and technical workers who seek to share Christ with their friends in a non-confrontational manner. I am looking for artists, both fine and graphic designers to help speak to a community about a movement of faith, love and deliverance. I am looking for people who feel they have been given 'gifts' from the Holy Spirit such as 'healing' who want to learn how to develop their gifts in community. I am looking for foundations and trusts who can underwrite community ministry.

I like meeting people - period. Cultures, traditions, and customs that families and communities practice interest me.

I like meeting people who want to grow spiritually, who are not just 'consumer driven and selfish.'

I like meeting people who have a 'sense' about God, and want to connect with the reality of their Christian faith - or discover the depth of the spirituality and richness of Christ's power to heal and deliver.

I like meeting Catholics and Orthodox who want to experience the reality of Christ's resurrection 24/7, not just during Mass or Divine Liturgy - (assuming they connect there).

I like meeting musicians and singers who are interested in deep worship.

I'd like to meet other young (and young at heart) people who have a zeal for Jesus Christ, who are humble and not just out for the 'glory buzz' but who are content to be in the background helping the poor, the widows, the orphans, the people who can't fight for themselves.

I'd like to meet other Church Planters who feel called of God to plant the Gospel, not just start an 'institution.'
