Peter Jon Gillquist grew up playing in rock bands in California. At 19, he ventured through Alaska on a spiritual pilgrimage and sold his electric guitar to pay for housing. Eventually, an acoustic guitar found its way into his hands and he began performing at coffee shops around the state.
A following developed, and he soon recorded a CD and began touring on a larger scale. Recently, this indie-folk artist recorded his seventh disc, *The Simpler Things*.
Peter Jon's journey has bought him through tours in 35 states, and through three years of seminary. He is now an Eastern Orthodox priest, and continues to write and record original songs.
