About Me

Hi.. My name's Victor. I'm a single dad of one very intelligent 12-year-old boy. He's a singer, just like his dad. We moved out to Michigan because it's really nice here.
I'm technically a Russian immigrant, as I came to the U.S. when I was three years old. My father left the family because times were hard in Russia, but my mother and grandmother wanted a better life for me. We came to the U.S. in search of "relatives". That was over 40 years ago. Now I'm proud to be an American citizen!
I'm a very dedicated and devout Orthodox Christian, having come back to the Faith after years of wandering. I used to be a Computer Programmer for many years, but I reached a point a few years ago where I absolutely could NOT handle it anymore!
Now I run my own tiny little online business called The Orthodox Shop. Basically it's a design outlet for making cool t-shirts and other gifts and stuff of an Orthodox Christian nature, but for a younger market. I'm still learning the ropes as far as how to run a business, but... it's definitely worth it in the end.

What a day!!

Amazing! We seriously lucked out with the snow situation. We did not get as much as was originally predicted. This is a good thing, although my son was a little bummed out. This can't be helped, as he...

Life in Michigan

Life in Michigan is grand, though we're in the middle of a snowstorm right now.. The worst of it is over, but it's nothing like what we'd have in Novosibirsk, Russia. That's in Siberia, for those who ...
