some biographic fragments:
having been a hopeless music-junkie since early childhood, I first started being a dj and organizing parties to spin at. in the beginning rather dark (and mostly electronic) styles – I grew up with depeche mode, nine inch nails, kraftwerk, anne clark, skinny puppy, front line assembly, einstürzende neubauten, birthday party / nick cave & the bad seeds, all those UK (post) punk heroes and the like - my interests soon expanded to the whole variety of alternative, rock and the more intelligent outcomes of pop and metal. as well as, aside from the dj-department, singer-songwriter, scores, soul & blues & jazz, ambient and experimental music.
thus, and because of dozens of other activities, it took me some time to start dealing with music actively. in fact, I was already 24 when beginning to work with my first band. (good thing I’ve never been into girlgroup-pop. first thing they would have brought me would have been a wheelchair..)
it took me another four years to leave my two bands in order to start working solo. which worked out pretty well. yet, as we all know, things hardly ever turn out the way you expect. as on the verge of being signed I fell severely ill and thus had to quit making music completely. (Listen, you mighty cosmic karma police - I’m counting on you to make up for that once..) but: no whining.
main thing is I’m back to “businessâ€. two years later, alive and kicking.
and I love it.
