Navid

Born in Tehran (Iran). When I was 5 years old me and my family had to leave our home country due to the war between Iran and Iraq. We went to Los Angeles but later decided to live in Germany. I grew up surrounded by music. My mother, a composer, my father a music manager, always let me and my brother take part in their working life.

Decpite my troubled childhood as a refugee I never lost my vocation. I knew that I wanted to become an actor. I did theatre in school and later on started studing at "The School For Performing Arts" in Germany in 1999. In the same year I played one of the leading roles in the feature film "ANAM" [aka "MY MOTHER"] in which I played a heroin-addicted boy.
I am part of the German Shakespeare Company and have played the part of the LADY MACBETH in MACBETH and ROMEO in ROMEO+JULIET in the last 4 years. So far we did over 200 shows around Europe.
I worked in the German-Film-Industry since 1999 and have been nominated for the "German Film Awards" [Foerderpreis Deutscher Film] for my performance in the movie "FREMDER FREUND" [aka "THE FRIEND"] in the category "Best Actor In A Leading Role".
Paralel to my acting career I started producing a persian R&B/Pop music-album with my brother Omid. I wrote, produced and directed 5 music-videos so far. You can check out 2 of'em here, if you like and a 5 minute version of my acting-showreel is here as well.
