HALIL "KRAZEE G" AKIN was born on the 20.02.1972 in
Turkey. He grew up alongside his two brothers and one
sister. As a small child he was influenced by his musical
father and even at the tender young age of six he began
to sing the songs of Turkish singers like Ibrahim Tatlises,
Orhan Gencebay and Ferdi Tayfur. In 1980 he moved with
his family to Germany.Two years later he experienced his first contact as an
Electro Boogie Dancer with Hip Hop music. He subsequently
collected Hip Hop, Soul and Funk records with a passion.
Today his repertoire of over 10,000 Records includes
work from "Easy E", "NWA", "Keith Sweat", "BBD", "Guy"
and "Boyz II Men".At the age of 15 he bought himself a set of decks and a
mixer and discovered his real passion for "DJ’ing". His
breakthrough as DJ came in 1989 in "Mike’s Soul Center"
disco, then known as "ALI B". A year later he founded
together with DJ "Billy B" the group "The Prophets".
The two music freaks had various gigs together, including
a performance in the Live Music Hall in Cologne. At this
point KRAZEE G began to sing songs in English and
interpreted, using his own special style, songs from
"Boyz II Men", "Jodeci", "Shai" and "BBD".Through his DJing Halil became acquainted with other
artists such as Blackstreet, Teddy Riley, Wrecks n Effect,
Dru Hill, Destinys Child, Coolio, Moses Pelham, Turbo B,
Kid Frost, Imagination, Def Boys, Two Sweet, Usher
and Sisco.In 1993 he began his successful tenure as resident DJ
in the legendary “RnB†Club and remained until 2001.
In these 9 years he played and shared the decks
with DJ’s "Sake" / "Cosmic" / "Bo" / "Tomekk" / "Swing" /
"Triple D" / "Sydney Fresh" & "Tapesh".“Krazee G†became one of the most sought after DJ’s
in Germany and played as guest DJ in Dortmund,
Düsseldorf, Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, Aachen,
Gummersbach, Essen, Krefeld, Hamburg, Koblenz and
Bonn. He was also booked by internationally renowned
stars and even played at a birthday party from P.Diddy
and toured with Coolio throughout Germany.In 1996 the song "Feelings" from the group "DNR" with
Halil as singer was recordedby EMI Records Cologne.
Towards the end of 1996 he co-founded the label
"Kit Records". Kit records produced and published among
others "DJ Krazee G – More than a Booticall" and
"Andre – Lessons in Love".Halil sang on the 1997 recorded
album from the group "Squeezer" in three songs and
accompanied the band on their tour of Germany as
background singer and DJ.Three years later in 2000 Halil got his chance, in the
"Doghouse Studios" in Cologne with Martin Ernst, to
produce his own music. He produced for artists such as
"Delici", "Navid", "Der Kopfmacher", "G-Style","Lil Capone"
and composed the internet hit song "Anam". Furthermore
he appeared with Martin Ernst’s band the "RTL Allstars" at
the "RTL Saturday Night Show" as DJ. Together they made
appearances in Germany and Switzerland.In the meantime Halil is married, has one daughter and
self-employed as Music producer.
