Who Is The Man?
Created in 1962 by hit televison producers Jerry Zimmerman & Todd "Buzzy" Sherwood ('My Favourite poodle', 'The Buckingham Family Show', 'Two and half Daughters' etc) , THE MAN are the NEW sound of the street for a hip and swinging generation!(The following is an excerpt from CHART POPPER magazine issue No. 62)"We know what the kids want!" smiles gold record wunderkind Jerry Zimmerman, " And we know how to make a hit record!" chimes in partner Todd " Buzzy" Sherwood. The duo have recently been causing quite a stir in the record industry with their latest invention THE MAN. They write the songs, they design the uniforms, they come up with the catchphrases and it seems the younger generation just cant get enough!It hasn't all been overnight success for the pair however, " We had to have sex with MANY children before making our choice" explains Buzzy, " But in the end these crazy boys n' gals just made more effort than the other kids-MUCH much better blowjobs..", "They are T-riffic!" adds Jerry.I ask them if they are ever worried about the moral issues posed with working with such young children in the sometimes harsh world of nightclub entertainment?" Yes" explains Buzzy " We are worried about moral issues!". Wow, What a great couple of guys, it is impossible not to see that their hearts are truly in the right place.I also question them regarding the rumours that the band did not actually play on recent demo album ( The history of Fuck, part 1) and in fact it was recorded by paid studio muscians. "Not at all" reassures Jerry "That is absolutly not the case. Buzzy and I did NOT pay those studio musicians, although we may have promised them to do so- in fact, the 'Buzzster' and I made a firm pact when we got into this buisness that we would pay NO-ONE but ourselves, no matter what the pressure, legal or otherwise!". Once again these gentlemen, seem to be miles ahead of the competition when it comes to caring about good music.So what's next? I ask them, a movie? another spin-off hit TV series? Will the band be touring or is just back to the studio for more fab sounds?Very sincerely Buzzy explains to me, " Music for us is an art form, a way of expressing not only politics and society but the darkest side of the self.... You see to us, the statement ' flogging a dead horse' for instance has no meaning because who knows, maybe that horse was also an artist and needed a good flogging.."Jerry agrees with this statement- " The kids down on the street dig us, they know we are cool daddies because we DIG, you dig!
