Over my many years I have always been a big fan of music. Although I like to listen to all different styles of music, the bulk of my large CD collection consists of mainly Blues, Rockabilly, Country and Country Rock. As a regular visitor to Texas (Fort Worth, Dallas and Austin) a lot of my favourite artists originate or are based in the Lone Star State. On one of my trips to Fort Worth we took a road trip to Memphis where I got to do all the sites – Sun Studios and Graceland, etc. I also got to see the great B.B. King play at his own club on Beale Street. My music virginity was taken by Rockabilly way back in ‘78/79. As time’s gone by I’ve never lost my love of some good ol’ raw, kick ass Rockabilly but I then discovered there’s much, much more out there. I’m always looking for new stuff to listen to so don’t hesitate to contact me with anything you think I might like. Finally, I’ve also produced a couple of music fanzines, the most recent being ‘Strange Pleasures’ (Inspired by Texan Bluesman Jimmie Vaughan’s CD) A new improved version of the fanzine is now available on the web as well as a new SPFANZINE myspace page (see my top friends for link).
