The Legend of Slick Crusty & His Salty Racers
Little is known about the origin of this mysterious group. It is thought to have its beginnings in the Antipodes. Rumour has it that Slick Crusty was deported to the Spice Colonies for Constant Twatism.
He was kicked off the ship in the port of Auckland, New Zealand. After an attempt to recruit fellow Crusties to his cause, he founded the Salty Racers in a shack in Auckland, NZ after a bit of scrounging with the Scroungers!.
More mysteriously he awoke several years later in the Port of Melbourne, Australia clutching his guitar in one hand and an ol 50s microphone in the other and a bottle of Hahn Ice Beer entwined in his foot!. He was found by a Queensland drifter and musician who was travelling south of da border to Melbourne and had just popped out for a carton of smokes. This fella was called Crusty Grease and was soon recruited by Slick as a fine friend and guitarist. After a few more stubbies, they had managed to recruit a couple of new believers to the Crusty Cause. Salty Racers came and went, but Chop Top Jason on doghouse bass, Bad Brad on drums, Lil Josh and Crusty Grease remained firm believers. Many gigs were played throughout Australia. The boys blazing a Greasy trail throughout the Land.
They even recorded at the legendary Preston Studios.
Many fans worship the philosophy of Slick and his Salty Racers which is THE MORE YOU DRINK, THE BETTER WE SOUND! So true!
To conclude Slick disappeared (as you do!)
He was found by a twitcher in a field in Wiltshire, England. Dazed and confused but happy to be home, he went in search of fellow Crustations. Slick & his Salty Racers are once again resurrected and raring to go... Enjoy!
