This site is in ongoing construction and rearrangement....If you happen tostumble across us, the email works so drop us a line. Up are four pieces ofpreviously unreleased songs, here in demo form. The newly posted song Photos and Memories, has been recorded severaltimes in a couple of ways. This particular recording was done at Orange Studio, Scarboroughwith Tom Atom. The studio wasn't finished at the time and had loose pinkinsulation in the air, that soon adhered to our sweaty bodies.....so needless tosay the session was hurried...and whacky. There were ten songs recorded intwo days that have never been released. Mirror is aballad that emotes the dark and haunting melodies associated with many BoysBrigade songs. This recording is one of three recorded versions that I know of.Recorded at Toronto landmark studio Eastern Sound, this recording wasexecutive produced by Howard Ungerleider and engineered by Jon Erikson withBoys Brigade. A version of Mirror appears on the Malcolm Burn albumRedemption (Black and White, Shadows on the Wall and
Afterglow have been removedtemporarily).FineLine recorded at Orange Studio, Scarborough with Tom Atom, waswritten from a rehearsaljam tape, arranged then recorded in the fashion you hear. There is a liverecording with finished instrumentation somewhere that really smokes.Portrait, is one the first recorded songs of the band with the introductionof percussionists David Porter and Jeff Packer. Recorded at KEEN, this songhas been played live only a fewtimes, and put on the shelf. Possibly on the advice of a booze-can ownerwanting to keep the party going. I recall opening a show at the Masonic Templein Toronto with it and a couple of gigs at The Pit and perhaps Wabash. Thisrecording is a band favourite. Tones' guitar solo is a picture of restraint.
Themp3 files are taken from cassette dubs. It's not known where the masters are.
What will happen here is a rotation of different recordings that have neverbeen heard publicly, so come by often...you might here yourself screaming at theELMO...or the King Biscuit Flower Hour
