Series Two is a CDR label based in Columbus, Nebraska. Series Two started officially on February 21, 2006 (although the idea for the label came in March of 2002 when Christopher received from his uncle CDs of Omaha bands Desaparecidos and The Faint) and currently works with promoting bands through this Myspace page; through college radio in USA and Canada; through a variety of mp3 blogs; for review on websites in USA, Canada, Europe, Latin America; through a variety of international radio stations across Europe, Asia, Latin America, Scandinavia;
Series Two Records works with releasing some of the best Swedish indie pop and shoegaze bands as well as music from USA, UK, Germany Costa Rica, Australia, Japan, Norway, China and Russia.
Plans for 2008 Series Two Records has released and will release a lot of good indie pop bands including Springfactory (release in 2007 actually), Oh! Custer (release in 2007 actually), Robert Church and The Holy Community, Tafra, Oh Sweet Music!, Klas, Signed Papercuts, The Odd Fiddler, Anthony Rochester, Alta Costura, Bakers at Dawn, Malkovic, Big Strong Union, thehelpmeplease, The Big Picture, The Pristines, Charlie Big Time, Peace in Our Time, Jap Adaptors, Electric Needle Room, Silent Man, Flannel, The Petter Luring Story, Lonely Boy, Wichita Address, the month of june, The Local Heroes, Blackberry Wine, Stoliday, Back In Judy's Shack, Desmond Reed and many others to come. In April there was the release of Series Two Records Compilation Volume 2, Volume 3, Volume 4 and Volume 5 which is released as a 4 CD set which was released on April 22nd and is limited to 100 copies. Those compilations will include indie pop, folk, shoegaze, rock and electronic music from around the world. Tafra's album features new songs along with a reissue of the Cosy Recordings single and Canarie Records EP. Tafra was a guest on Suburban Kids With Biblical Names album “3†playing the trombone. Flannel "Dear Something, Dear Someone" (is still available) Series Two Records on May 13th released Flannel 12 song album "Dear Something, Dear Someone" and is limited to 300 copies. Flannel is a one man bedroom pop project coming out of Japan. The sounds coming from the record I would describe as shoegaze even sort of like MBV at times and some agree. Back In Judy's Shack "Back In Judy's Shack" (is still available Series Two Records on June 24th released Back In Judy's Shack 7 song album "Back In Judy's Shack" ep and is limited to 300 copies. Back In Judy's Shack is a two piece band featuring Johan and Josefine. They broke up some time ago. The first record they released was in 2006 and this album is a reissue of that sold out ep. I hope that the response on this record will be good enough to get them to go back together again for a pop festival or some shows in Sweden. Lonely Boy "Lonely Boy... and other tragedies" (is still available Series Two Records on June 24th released Lonely Boy 8 song album "Lonely Boy...and other tragedies" and is limited to 300 copies. Lonely Boy is a two piece band featuring a very creative poet from Norway and also featuring Antony Harding of Sweden (he used to be behind the drum kit for Hefner). Lonely Boy is highly recommended especially if you're a fan of Ant's solo work.
