Teea Aarnio

She is..?
Teea Aarnio is a young woman who started smashing her grand-parent's piano at a very early age. That piano now belongs to Teea. When she was 6 years old she met a wicked thing called violin, and still enjoyes the instrument, despite the traumatic relationship.

She was born at Heinola, but she has lived in many cities, despite her young age. Two years ago she started to study dance (also a dear friend of her, since early childhood) as her profession, but then.. Now she studies at Helsinki Pop & Jazz Conservatory, and works with her own music, and in different projects, her voice as her main-instrument. But still there's dancing too.

Teea released a self-published single "Avaa silmäsi" few years ago, and has been working with new material since.. It's been worth waiting, just now she has began to realize what is her path, how does her soul sing.
She is a member of the "Play! soundpainting ensemble" - the first soundpainting-orchestra in Finland!
She has got together in the spirit of music (some dancing too..) with many different groups and musicians and at this moment she really much nourishes the experiences she got from singing/playing with Frisbee Firma (RIP!) and Lasse Honkonen, who has just released his amazingly passioned solo-ep. Try to find it, I'm sure you'd love it!
Since the summer 2007 Teea has also been working on with some new material - with great joy and passion, with Spyritual, and some songs will be out soon.
Spyritual is a more or less, one-man's project, with lots of dudes and dudettes visiting, and you should definetly check this name out!

During the coming year, she will make demo-tapes of her new material and as soon as the material is recorded, you will find it from these pages. She'll be solving mysteries with Oma Group and - well stick around for new material, will ya?

Teea and Nika are hosting a new club at Helsinki, Finland, called Tyttöklubi (Girl's Club). Tyttöklubi is a place for new female-musicians to get their music out, a place to celebrate good new vibes and visions!
