Helsinki-based drummer/composer Olavi Louhivuori (13.7 1981) presents the new young jazzgeneration in Finland. His playing and compositions can be heard in such groups as Ilmiliekki Quartet, Joona Toivanen trio, Alexi Tuomarila trio, Sun trio and Olavi trio. He..s also been working with musicians such as Tomasz Stanko, Kenny Wheeler, Anthony Braxton, Marilyn Crispell, Joe McPhee etc. Louhivuori also leads his own group, Oddarrang (www.myspace.com/oddarrang). Now Louhivuori has released his first album "Inhale Exhale" as a solo drummer. The album is built up on sounds only made with drums and percussion. Check it out!
