About Me
Hi!I'm a trombone player / composer / arranger with both rhythmical and classical background. I play both tenor and bass trombone.Currently I work with The Finnish Air Force Band and I play with a funky cover band "Spanky, Wanky & The Funksearchers". I'm also member of Jyväskylä Big Band and Tanssiorkesteri Tappara.Formerly I have been a member of Boston Promenade, The Finnish Junior All Stars Big Band, Sibis Big Band, Stadia Big Band, Bygga Big Band and Lappeenranta Big Band.
As a sub I have worked with UMO Jazz Orchestra, Riku Niemi Orchestra, Nat Newborn Big Time, Gebardi XXL, Jean S. etc.I have also worked with Lappeenranta City Orchestra and Jyväskylä Sinfonia among other classical orchestras.
My international jobs: Boston Promenade Peru Tour '05 & Japan Tour '07, JazzAhead - European JazzXchange Big Band '07 @ Bremen, GER.A few conductors I've played with: Maria Schneider, Herb Pomeroy, Charles Tolliver, Michael Gibbs, Peter Herbolzheimer, Rich Shemaria, Bill Watrous, Marvin Stamm, Veli-Matti Halkosalmi, Eero Koivistoinen, Antti Rissanen, Sonny Heinilä, Petri Juutilainen, Atso Almila, Jorma Panula, Tibor Boganyi, David Searle etc.You may see me playing some of the following instruments: King 2B 'Liberty', King 2B 'Silver Tone', King 3B, Olds Opera, King 4B 'Silver Sonic', Conn 88HN and Conn 112H - bass trombone.Feel free to contact!
