Young, yet so wise, a fresh tidal wave of realism and emotion deep as nothing wide as everything, BLACK.PAGE is a premier Dallas artist; involving herself in the entertainment industry since 1999. She has worked inside some of the most noted record labels and collaborated with a distinguished roster of local & national artist: DeLoach, Bavu Blakes, BIG PHAROAH, & Mecca Starr with more phenomenal duo's lined up. To date she has released 2 independent CD works, "my lil' black book" & "tha orator" both of which showcasing her soulful vocals mixed with conscience spokenword & hip.hop. In an effort to continue giving back to the community she works hand and hand with several non-profit organizations, Our Brothers Keeper, NDUGU Inc. and TeCo to name a few. Author of two published poems Hurting Love - International Library of Poetry/ Natures Echoes 2000 and To Become Unconscious - Def Poetry Jam Anthology/ Bum Rush the Page 2001 stand to further show the seriousness of this artist. Black Page has spearheaded and hosted many artist projects and events local and nationally; opening for several noted artist like NDambi, Jill Scott, Professor Griff (Public Enemy), Tramain Hawkins, and Roger Bonair Agard (1999 National Poetry Slam Champion). Features in the Dallas Morning News, Rolling Out Magazine, the Deep Ellum Arts Festival, SBC Black History Celebration, Tampax Total You Tour, the Dallas Black Expo, Ebony Black Family Reunion Tour, 97.9 tha BEAT (Dallas Radio One Station/ Hosted by Rickey Smiley), POWER 99 InnerCity (Philadelphia Radio One Station/ Hosted by Tiffany Bacon), KNON 89.3 (Dallas), and SOUL 73 KKDA AM (Dallas), and the world reknowned Black Academy of Arts & Letters (TBAAL- DALLAS) add to her growing credentials. She has performed, competed and won numerous poetry slams local and abroad: Muddy Waters (Houston); all over New York City in venues such as Brooklyn Moon, The Tea Party, Black Lilly (Philly & NYC), Melodic Syndrome (at the Groove), Neils, Nuyarican Poets Café; Apache Cafe/Yin Yang café (Atlanta); and the Greenwich (Cincinnati) just to name a few.
