About Me
Peace, Love, and Light Fam!
My name is Damali Njeri aka Goddess Noir. I am a Sacred Wombman living, loving, growing, evolving, ascending, and healing always under the watchful care and Guidance of the One Most High.
I am a Yogi, practicing and mastering the arts of Egyptian and Kundalini Yoga. I aspire to take my place as a Yoga Instructor,Master Herbalist, Intuitive Counselor, Spiritual Teacher, Innergy Healer, and Beam of Light in this Universe.I love Afrikans and embrace my Afrikan culture with open arms. Afrikans ARE the Original (Wo)Man. I am not racist in the least, I am merely realistic. I am proud of my culture and my heritage. I pledge allegiance to the Red, Black, and Green. I am a R.eal B.lack G.irl and I wear my hair in it's natural state, eradicating all forms of self hate. In the words of Alice Walker,"Oppressed
hair puts a ceiling on the brain."I consider my Self Spiritual.I beleive that religion is merely another form of mind control. I do believe in The One Most High, God, the Creator, Spirit, the Universe, etc. There is but one God, called by many different names. Many paths that lead to the same destination.I do not beleive that you have to go to a church, temple, or mosque to be close to God. God is everywhere, in everthing, and in everyone.Prayer, meditation, yoga, etc. lead you to the inner you, where The One Most High always resides. You need only to plug in for the connection.I am a self-proclaimed nerd and proud of it.
I LOVE to learn and share my findings with any and eveyone with an open mind, heart and spirit. I am passionate about spreading Love, knowledge of one's Self, healing, freedom of speech, freeing our minds, transcendence,
educating the youth, and Unity amongst all people of Afrikan descent...
Wrap your Head with this Material:...
I am finding my Self, loving my Self, forgiving my Self, and embracing my Self. Change is the ONLY constant thing in the World and I am accepting with open arms the good and the "bad" changes in this Life. Every challenge, obstacle, or "bad" thing that happens to you is a learning experience. If only good things happened to us, we would not grow. Finding Love begins with your Self. Your relationships are a reflection of the relationship you are having with your Self. A person can only treat you as well as you treat your Self. Love and develop your Self first, only then can you truly find Love with someone else.
Remember: You CANNOT lose something that is Divinely ordained for you. Move slowly. Trust your Self. Be still.
Silence is Golden. Silence gives you time to reflect and truly hear your thoughts. Silence brings you closer to the God that lives in all of us. Silence gives Spirit a chance to guide you, mold you, and move through you....There is no such thing as lonliness. The Ancestors, your Angels, the Creator is with you always.A few thoughts and feelings:...Intimate talks are the biggest turn-on for me...Locs are an aphrodisiac. The texture, the smell, just the sight of a beautiful set of Locs makes me want to do some thangs!!!!:)...Ganja should be legalized...Bob Marley was a Prophet. He was one of the greatest mususcians and Revolutionaries of his time and he is dearly missed(RIP)...Music is my medicine. I turn to music when I am happy, sad, depressed, confused,or just plain losing it. Music lifts me up, takes me to a place that knows my pain, knows my worry, knows my joy, and makes me feel like I can flyyyyy...Herbs are a gift from the Creators and I reap the benefits...We are all natural healers...There is no such thing as a stranger. We all have a Divine connection but it is up to us to tune into each other... I have learned that Paradise resides on the inside. My surroundings do not dictate my worth or my wealth. Material things do not define me or make me happy. Material things are not an indicator of one's wealth or value, the Light inside is... True happiness resides in you and it is YOUR job to make sure you get it. If you make anybody else responsible for your happiness, you will never find it...All that separates us from our brothers and sisters in the Motherland is water and language.Let's bridge the gap Afrikan people.. I am trying to keep in mind that Power resides in a cool head...
I am a big fan of neo-soul, jazz, blues, old-school soul, and real(conscious)hip hop. I am disgusted with most of the nonsense I hear on the radio. Our people are being brainwashed...It is all a plot to get your mind off of the real issues...people so busy leaning and rocking that they don't realize that we have some serious work to do...Katrina is not fixed yet. Our brothers and sisters are still being housed in shit-hole trailers and some are even being kicked out of their hotel rooms for lack of funds. The plan to rebuild the poor neighborhoods like the Ninth Ward are non-existent. Yet they still held Mardi Gras? Do you really think any of the money made will go to our people?Gangs are still killing each other daily over territory that they DON'T own...Our women are still being objectified and treated like hoes...The youth still need direction, protection, and examples...We are fighting a war that is NOT ours... Our men are still being labeled, targeted, and harassed. Blinded from their rightful place as Kings not thugs...The glorification of guns and violence is destroying our communities. Our lost Brothas and
Sistas not having access to Truth...Fighting over crumbs and not striving for more. Cuz you DO deserve it, no matter what they say... WE ARE STILL NOT FREE...Free your mind, close your eyes, and open your heart... Put your fist up and mean that shit...We are powerful beyond measure, Beautiful and Resilient...Unity is the answer...To Love my people is to love my Self...I LOVE all of you...I send you Comfort,Respect, Admiration, Dedication,Peace,Prosperity,Power,Guidance, and Clarity...
