Sounds Like: ~~~~With a style and versatility so unique, Naija also known as the Empress is about to take R&B music by storm. She has already captured the hearts of friends and family with her melodic sultry sound and pretty soon the whole world will soon learn what they already know. Naija has created a sound that is uniquely hers but she also makes you think of those that have paved the way for her. Take a little Teena Marie, add a little Stephanie Mills, mix in a little Deniece Williams and Regina Bell and you may get close to the different styles and ranges the Empress can capture. Being compared to these legendary greats is an honor that Naija does not take lightly but she has a remarkable trademark of a vocal style that is very distinctive and very passionate. Although her voice rides to the waves of hypnotic rhythms and soothing melodies on her song Still Remain, she is also able to show her flip side on her up tempo hip/hop collaboration of R U Serious. Naija does not like to be defined as having one style and her upcoming album "The Quiet before the Storm" has something for all music lovers. Entrepreneurial in spirit Naija is the CEO of her own Entertainment Company which she plans to ignite the careers of other Artist that have a gift to share to the world. Coming from a musical background Naija has a wonderful and talented mentor in her uncle Craig "Cadillac" Moreland of NHous Productions who produces most of her music for her ballads. With so much equipment that can imitate the sound of real instruments, Naija is blessed to have NHous to produce music from real instruments, the solo uncle Craig "Cadillac" does in Still Remain is phenomenal. Naija's unrelenting and authentic talents are also displayed in her song writing, full of heartbreaking and love making her music shows the vulnerable yet sensitive side that most people are afraid to reveal. It has been a wonderful experience to watch Naija take a song from conception to birth and with each song complete to also grow professionally and personally. I am honored to be a part of this project and I am sure of one thing Naija will definitely be one of the worlds next R&B Divas. Z$
