I love any and everything related to music and film. Other than that I'm pretty open. I may not be expert at any one thing, but I dabble in a lot of ish.
Everybody. More specifically anyone who is reasonably sane, which is flexible. Hell, I don't have it all together my self, but I can't afford to take on anyone else's baggage right now.
Music only has two categories for me...either it hot or not. From Hip Hop to Rock to Jazz to Country to whatever. If it's fly then I dig it. With that said, I dig Joi, Outkast, Queens of the Stone Age, The Killers, Van Hunt, Pink Floyd, Common, De La Soul, Mos Def, Omar, Thicke, Bloc Party, The Roots, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Jazzanova, Bugz in the Attic, DKD, Rufus Wainwright, Hot Hot Heat, Brazilian Girls, GIL SCOTT HERON, The Kills, Devandra Bernhardt, Jon Brion, Kanye West, Vikter Duplaix, Funkadelic, Led Zepplin, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Doors, The Meters, Prince, Quantic, Yeah Yeah Yeah's, FELA KUTI, The Cure, Spoon, Supergrass, Cee Lo Green, Talib Kweli, Ludacris, Jay-Z, Heavy, Snoop Dogg, Slum Village, Jay Dee, Sly and the Family Stone, Skunk Anansie, N*E*R*D*, Slick Rick, Sheryl Crow, Sebastien Tellier, Sa-Ra, Zero 7, M.I.A., The Queen...Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Platinum Pied Pipers, Placebo, Meshell N'degeocello, Bilal, Stevie Wonder (60's & 70's), Lauryn Hill (L-Boogie, not songs-o-freedom Lauryn Marley), Bob Marley, Kenna, Depeche Mode, Kelis, Justin Timberlake, I could go on but this list is already ridiculously long.
I Heart Huckabees, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, A Clockwork Orange, Amores Perros, Hable con ella, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Velvet Goldmine, X, Requiem for a Dream, Donnie Darko, Purple Rain, Coming to America, Raw, The Spook Who Sat by the Door, Goodbye Lenin, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and way too many to name.
I'm barely home long enough to watch anything.
Brave New World, 1984, El amor en los tiempo del cólera, the Fire Next Time, House of Leaves, The Broke Diaries, the Autobiography of Malcom X, Me Talk Pretty One Day, and whatever else I can when I'm not working.
My grandfathers, whom both have made the transition from life to death. Both taught me how to lead from two very different perspectives. Both spirtual, but not delusional. Both realistic, but hopeful. One college educated, one didn't make it past the 6th grade. Both had an innate ability to speak with profundity. Both gave me wisdom beyond my years. Both are the voice in my head, guiding me on my particular path of destiny.
