About Me


Kouao International Productions, was created in 1981 through the mind of Georges Kouakou during his early musical productions with many recording studios in the USA and the rest of the world. Georges Kouakou began to build a solid relationship with the recording studios and artist of many nations. There, he developed a devotion to spread his talent as a Recording Producer, Engineer, Keyboards and Arranger, and to share his musical ability with music lovers worldwide. Graduated from the National Institute of Arts (L'INA) with B/A degree, major of music production in the Ivory Coast where he grew up after moving from Ghana where his father is originated, Georges Kouakou continued his studies with the Ex- instructor from the Boston..s Berklee College of Music instructor, Ted Howe, in Atlanta, GA after moving from the Ivory Coast and migrate to the states in 1990. These experiences helped establish Kouao International Productions as one of the early torch bearers of Music productions and arranging. Quickly outgrowing the basement of his home in Ivory Coast where his company Kouao International Productions began, Georges Kouakou..s vision grew by leaps and bounds to become one of the prominent producers in America, France and Africa. In the early 80s, Georges Kouakou's studio Kouao International Productions made significant developments in musical production and performance by producing and performing with various artist like Burning Spear, Culture, Alpha Blondy, Yellowman, I Jahman Levi, The Wailers of Bob Marley, Capleton, Everton Blender, The Meditations, Sister Carol, and many more. In 1992, Georges Kouakou was hired through Kouao International Productions to represent America..s Top 40s, music in Japan with the Epic Records R&B Band (Something Special) from Atlanta, GA. Georges Kouakou has helped to establish a strong and positive bond between foreign musicians and the USA.
Georges Kouakou, has always been interested in exploring the positive aspects of his knowledge and talent to the world, ( i.e. ) invited on December 31, 1999 by the President of the United States (Bill Clinton) to back the Ghanaian percussionist Okyerema Asanti who performs with Paul Simons on the millennium stage in Washington, DC. Right after the speech of the President and the first lady. Also to the production of Yellowman..s Christmas Album entitled Yellow Christmas. To many local church recordings and live performance and etc. Kouao International Productions has shown a diversity and an innovation in producing and recording which is totally unique.
For almost 20 years, Georges Kouakou has set the trends through Kouao International Productions with the first releas by Alpha Blondy, Ismael Isaac, Serges Kassi, Irie Bash, Shasha Marley of Ghana and etc. The standards that have been set by Kouao International Productions are not only going to be followed in years to come, but they are standards which are constantly growing and representing the best of recording art.
