About Me

Several years ago I was inspired by solo-works of Terry Bozzio and started to develop my own approach to play solo-drum-music. This concept I am also apply playing in art-prog-fusion band "Kostarev Group": http://myspace.com/kostarevgroup.
Science is my another great interest. I am senior scientific researcher at Chemistry Department of Moscow State University.

New pedal for Gong!

Recently I've constructed special pedal for my Sabian 26" Gong. Now it is not necessary to turn back and use special stick for playing Gong.I've used the same approach as for double pedals with cable ...

Important addition to drum-set

Yesterday, I've constructed special double-pedal mechanism. I am using this for additional 24" bass drum placed on the right side of my set....

New demo records

Several new fragments of solo-compositions were recorded. Some of them I've added to myspace page. Recording was performad by Alexander Kostarev using more than 20 mics.
