I am here for Dating, Friends and Networking

About Me

[THIS SITE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION]. I think I was made to draw and write fantasy fiction. Original Art, Outsider Art is the best. I just saw some sculpture by Lee Tribe. I found it very inspiring. I am a big fantasy fiction and horror book fan. I'm just discovering the writings of H.P.Lovecraft. I'm reading, 'The Call of Cthulhu and Other Weird Tales.' So far, I like it. Movies are great, but books and book illustration were my first loves & that really hasn't changed much over the years. I hope to write & publish some fantasy fiction (epic fantasy, satiristic fantasy ala Lewis Carroll, adventure fantasy along the lines of Tolkien, J.K. Rowling, etc., and maybe horror too), and to publish fantasy story book illustrations someday. I would also like to try my hand at writing a chic lit novel, (a humorous, single girl's narrative, in diary style. along the lines of 'Bridget Jones Diary,' etc). I have already tried storytelling, with success, and I like it. Stage fright definitely is exhiliarating! Movies are something I got into later in life, thanks to my friends who really introduced me to the cinema world; films being so much more of a social enjoyment in contrast to the solitary writing, drawing and lines memorization process.

My Interests

I think I was made to draw and write fiction. Check out 'JUXTAPOZ' and 'RAWVISION' magazines. I just discovered the sculpture works of Lee Tribe. They are great. Personally, I'm an aspiring fantasy writer & fantasy visual artist. (I strongly suspect, also, that I have a chic lit book inside of me that is impatiently waiting to be written). I love fantasy literature, horror lit, conspiracy stories, mysteries, strange, weird, whacky amd bizarre stories, both fiction,(the zanier, the better), & the allegedly real stories. ( I adore magazines & anxiously wait each month for these treasures to arrive: 'Fortean Times,''Fate,''Mysterious,'UFO,' and 'Paranoia' magazine, also, 'Wierd Tales,''Realms of Fantasy,''Faeries,''Renaissance,''Rue Morgue, & 'The Dark Side,' magazine. I'm also into spiritualism, word & symbol origins, ghost stories, the paranormal, ghost investigation shows, all kinds of movies, horror movies, comedy, gothic stuff, fantasy art, hanging out with friends, storytelling, listening to 'Coast to Coast with George Noory, 'Asylumcam.com,''Bourbocam.com.'The 'Pandacam,' at the National Zoo site in Washington, D.C. is great. I collect fantasy fiction books, fantasy fiction art picture books & cards, tarot cards & ouija boards. I also collect dragon & Merlin the Magician figurines.

I'd like to meet:

I want to see and hug my mom again someday, (she passed years ago). Pee Wee Herman, Jerry Springer, author Richard Dawkins, author Michael Swanwick, scientist Ed Witten and writer George MacDonald Fraser, (some greats, like Karl Marx, well, maybe I'll meet them on the next side). I've already met Richard Dawkins (I would like to speak with him again, actually. That just leaves Pee-wee, Jerry Springer, Michael Swanwick, Ed Witten and George MacDonald Fraser on the list. Probably the most famous person I have met so far is Pope John Paul II; I did not seek that meeting out (meeting him was not on my list), it came about through circumstances. I would like to hear from artists, aspiring artists, art lovers and you other interesting people out there.

Music:

All kinds. I listen to the top 40 too.

Movies:

I like 'A Room with a View,'with Helena Bonham Carter. 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,' 'Pee Wee's Big Adventure,' 'The Money Pit,' 'Overboard,' 'Hairspray,''Its a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.' 'Dead Calm,'the 'Star Wars' films,'Chronicles of Riddick,''Resident Evil,''Da Vinci Code,' 'Inside Man,''The Monster,'by Roberto Benigni, 'Gigi,''Monsieur Hire,' 'A Lion In Winter, 'Slacker,' 'Farenheit 911,''Some Like It Hot,''Nothing Sacred,''The Forgotten Man,' 'Mr. Roberts,''The Thin Man,''Gregory's Girl,' 'Local Hero,'etc. I've been collecting romance movies lately. I love romance movies: the Bridget Jones diary movies, 'The Village,''Jane Eyre,''Wuthering Heights,' etc., movies based on Tolkien's works, 'Chronicles of Narnia,' etc. I just bought 'The Lake House,' with Keanu Reeve recently. Thought he was good as the demonologist in 'Constantine.'

Television:

'Medium,' 'Ghost Whisperer,' & recently bought the old episodes of 'Dark Shadows.''Star Trek,' 'Stargate,' etc. I'm thinking of seeing that great drama that was on BBC tv yrs. ago called, 'House of Cards,' again. Ghost investigation shows are my latest thing.

Books:

Tolkien's books, 'Wuthering Heights,' by Emily Bronte. Lewis Carroll's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland,' & 'Through the Looking Glass,' Michael Swanwick's writings, 'Flashman and the Great Game,' by George MacDonald Fraser, The Harry Potter books, of course, 'Angels & Demons,' Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and many more. I'm currently reading an epic fantasy, 'The Iron Tree,' by Cecilia Dart-Thornton, & I'm enjoying the fantasy art of Amy Brown & Brian Froud. I am also reading H.P, Lovecraft's 'Call of Cthulhu,' & the the 'Fantasy of 2006' anthology edited by David Hartwell. I often read more than one book at a time. A book of short stories is no distraction while reading other books, I find. Richard Laymon is interesting. I feel a strong urge to read some Edward Gorey coming on.

Heroes:

Karl Marx, writer Joe Nickell, George MacDonald Fraser, Tolkien, Edward Gorey, Lewis Carroll, Stephen King, Dean Koonz, Emily Bronte, (who wrote 'Wuthering Heights,' one of the best atmospheric novels ever), Sir Harry Flashman, rogue extraordinaire, scientist Ed Witten, scientist Richard Dawkins, Cindy Sheehan, Michael Moore, Freud, Michelangelo, actor/director Harold Lloyd, psychic Jane Doherty.

The last Harry Potter book cannot be spoiled by disclosure

The last Harry Potter book cannot be spoiled by disclosing the names of those who die in it because fans will want to READ the book anyway; even if they knew who died in it. Personally, I expect Harry...
