Lisa picked up her violin already as a five year old.
She is educated at the Academy of Music in Stockholm and her education is in itself unique, as she is the first one in Sweden who has got a combined classic - folk musical education.Only seventeen years old and as the first delegate of the price, Lisa received the prestigious PäkkosGustaf-scholarship in Bingsjö, Scandinavia’s fiddler-Mekka. She has also received The National Fiddler medal by the Zorn foundation.Lisa has released four CD albums in her own name; “Swedish wedding tunes†(nominated to a Grammy in 2001), “Vinterskrud†(released in 2002) and “Östbjörka†(2003) and “Bach på svenska†(2007).
