Anders Bjernulf is a well-known Swedish fiddler. He is primarily a solo artist and plays tunes from his home town Rättvik in Dalarna, Sweden. He has spent a lot of time in Norway and has brought musical influences back home from that country. Anders represents the old school in Swedish folk music with teachers such as Pål Olle, Päckos Gustaf and Pers Hans. He has performed his music at the Festival in Förde as well as in Falun and Kaustinen. At the festival in Falun, Anders was the artistic leader at the Ethno camp for a number of years. Anders is also a respected teacher and has teached all-over Sweden, United States, Canada, Norway, Denmark and at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland. Anders has made one solo CD: "Bingsjö -a tribute to Päckos Gustaf" and has been contributing on several CDs over the years. These contributions include Orsa Spelmän, Rättviks Spelmanslag and Lisa Rydberg. In February-08 Anders released a new CD: "Pål Olles Väg", on which he plays together with Lars-Gunnar Björklund and Fredrik Lindh. The CD presents 20 polskas after Pål Olle and Pers Hans Olsson. Anders is also performing in a trio: "Trio Nor" together with Knut Hamre and Arto Järvelä.
