Surfadelica came up in November 2006.
We are three friends that enjoy many kinds of music.
In one month we came up with our first two recordings, one of them to be released on a compilation album to be released sometime in the UK. The other song (Surf Me To The Moons Of Saturn) you can listen to here.
From the beginning it was decided that Surfadelica would only play live after having an album under their belt. So 2007 was spent with writing, rehearsals, recording and mixing. The results were the eleven songs on the debut CD plus songs that will be on our next project and several contributions to compilations around the world.
Our debut album, "Surfing On The Desertshore" was finally released in April 2008 in Brazil by Pisces Records. It features eleven originals written by guitar player Carlos Nishimiya. On the player you can listen to six songs from the album. Each of them showing a different side of our music.
The album received a great review by surf music guru Phil Dirt. You can read it here: Phil Dirt's Reverb Central Surfadelica Review
About the members of Surfadelica: we all have played with lots of groups since the 80's. Too many to mention here. What really matters is that Surfadelica is a dream come true. We hope you like our music.
We would like to thank all of you, all our friends, all the kind words that came our way, you know, it means a lot to us!
Carlos Nishimiya.
