Moondawg is a group of guys who enjoy playing 60's surf and rock music with a little kick to it. Brothers Rickey and Ray Simmons started playing surf music back in 1969 after they realized nobody in the mountains of North Georgia owned a surf board. They then decided to "branch out" a little bit so brother Rickey started doing vocals. They did country and rock music for several years. With Rickey's great vocals, they did very well playing in clubs around North Georgia. Joe Burge and Chris Pankau whom both very respected for their musical abilities joined up with the Simmons' bothers in 2007. They recreated the sound that all four gentlemen loved as youngsters. They give God and the Ventures credit for their sound!
