I've been playing the drums Since I was 5 years old...and that was not so long ago... Some of the Bands I'm currently in are Mal Sharps Big Money in Jazz(20years); Gaucho(3years) ; The Kally Price Combo; and my own band-Devine's Jug Band. Some of the past bands of "important's" that I've been a part of here in S.F"(for the lack of a better word)are Bo Grumpus(15 years) & Lavay Smith and Her Skillet Lickers(founding member And over the years I've performed with,and/or recorded with the likes of Craig Ventresco, the late Bobby Helm(Lou Watters,Turk Murphy's Bands,the late Howard Armstrong(Louie Bluie),Terry Zwiegoff, Maya Angelo,Marcus Shelby; and Kim Nally, just to name some..... I've performed at the JVC New York Jazz Festival(previously known as the Newport Jazz Festival), San Francisco Jazz festival(w/ Bo Grumpus),Scott Joplin Ragtime festival and the Sacramento Jazz Festival(ten consecutive years)As well as playing Davies Symphony Hall(w/ Kim Nally & Marcus Shelby)in 1998 as part of the"100 year Anniversary Gershwin Celebration"; and numerous parties and private functions for politicians & Supreme Court Justices back on the East Coast! I hope I am not coming across as being a braggart.... ...Rhythm is not only found in music-it's found in every little contributing part that makes up the rhythm of the Universe! There is rhythm everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
