... because it's fun to do the impossible

About Me

i couldn't find the bassist that i wanted in a band, so i borrowed a Dan Armstrong Bass from a pal and never gave it back. Eventually, i made major changes to it by using spare parts given to me by other pals.
The neck is a Crestwood Bass neck that i pried all the frets out and filled the spaces with wood putty. The only pickup is from a destroyed Silvertone bass, and the machine heads are from 2 different basses from 2 different friends... the volume pot is from a Telecaster guitar (no-tone pot) i had to re-drill holes into the body to attach this neck to it and shimmed it with peices of cardboard.
i PAID about 50 bucks for a custom bridge 10 years ago so that i can set-up the harmonics to near perfection.
I made this bass as an experiment after reading an interview of Jaco Pastorius in BASS WORLD MAGAZINE. I had no money to buy a P Bass neck and Jazz Bass body.
I have aquired a P Bass and a Rickenbacker 3001 bass and an acoustic Applause Fretless bass, but i rarely play anything but my frankenstein-experiment.
