I am here for Serious Relationships

About Me

Hosted by Bruce Triggs and Rowan Lipkovits , Accordion Noir NOW runs weekly 9:30-10:30 pm PST ( and your local equivalent ) every Friday night on CFRO CO-OP Radio, 102.7 FM (and through their live audio stream ), Vancouver, BC, Canada... which may rebroadcast us at our former time slot of 2-3 am Friday morning. We also offer episode recordings as podcasts up at AccordionNoir.org -- and present a monthly Vancouver, BC Squeezebox Social night the first Thursday of every month, from 7-9 pm, at the Salt Spring Coffee Co. (4295 Main at 27th Avenue)! Accordion fans, bring your squeezeboxes! (Accordion non-fans, bring your earplugs!)Please mention Accordion Noir as you donate to CFRO!Accordion Noir: CFRO: Co-Op Radio 102.7 FM 110 - 360 Columbia St. Vancouver, BC V6A 4J1 Canada www.AccordionNoir.org

My Interests

accordions, bandoneons, bayans, concertinas, cordovoxes, flutinas (that weird little proto-accordion - two boards with a bellows between them and just a few buttons. Pay for yours as an antique on Ebay today!), garmons, livenkas, melodeons, squeezeboxes, trikitixas, and free-bass chromatic button accordions plugged through vintage electic guitar effects built into a plastic Fisher-Price Piano salvaged from a dumpster. Aren't those interesting?

I'd like to meet:

Pauliina Lerche , Play Bayan! , Iva Nova , Arcade Fire , Annie Proulx , the Decemberists , Guy Klucevsek , Maria Kalaniemi and rest of the Accordion Tribe , Martin White , and Kimmo Pohjonen from Finland who's crazy. And all the amazing players and people on our friends list. We're your fans. ... Please pardon us if we unjustly turn down your friends request -- without a squeezebox in the profile picture it can be difficult to distinguish an incognito accordion fan from a generic anybody looking to inflate their friends count. If we have shunned you in error (after diligently combing your profile for any mention of the instrument in your interests or comments), please feel free to write back and we'll friend YOU!
