About Me

Been djing professionally since 1998. Tricky to put a tag on my set as it changes and adapts to each occasion. Enjoy mixing different styles/genres together, without focussing on one for too long, like to keep it unpredictable...feel equally at home spinning reggae/hip hop bootlegs, rave at warehouse parties as I am rinsing the old classics at weddings. Occasionally, I play some electro during private views. But feel my most cheeky self whilst djing a Bombay mix of Gypsy, Swing, Belly Dance, Bollywood, Ska, 60's and French goodies at our "Stranger than paradise" monthly event.

Most recent gigs include the after party at the BBC3 World Music awards, the Cuban Music awards, playing alongside the Mahala Rai Banda, Bratsch and the Dandy Warhols. Last summer, djed at festivals like Glastonbury, Electric Picnic, Isle of Wight and the Balkan Fever at Cargo.
Bit of radio too, on Resonance FM 104.4, showcased six one hour selections of Latin, African, Middle Eastern and Gypsy music.
A dj set is like a journey, never too sure what the next track will be but always searching to link disparate genres together to create an unusual route and in doing so, hopefully bring people together, bridge gaps and break down barriers. I like to believe there is good music in all genres!
Been dealing rare records since 1998 too. Selling difficult to find and obscure vinyl to music producers, djs and collectors. Clients include Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx, Andrew Weatherall, Dj Shadow, Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) and Jerry Dammers (The Specials). I sell mainly Library records (Music for Televison-Radio and Film use unavailable to the general public) but also Rare Jazz, Soundtracks, Kraut Rock, Post Punk, Electronic, African and Bollywood OST. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you want to know more.
As an Artist, I use to create video and sound installations. After studying BA at Goldsmith's College in London, I exhibited my work in London, Paris, Bordeaux, Montreal. Was an Artist in residence for 6 months at the Studio Cormier in Montreal, Canada in 2000 (Funded by the AFAA). My work features in the Public Collection of the FNAC (Federation Nationale d'Art Contemporain, the Art's Council of France).
As a music producer, I make music for Television and Film, mainly for short films, idents, spots, adverts and documentaries. BBC and Discovery Channel being my main clients.
And finally, I sometimes write for Fact magazine, a free bi-monthly that can be found in record and fashion shops in England and abroad. Put together with the help of Edo Bouman of Bombay connection, a Top 20 of Bollywood's craziest records in the July and August edition... check it here!
