If you have performed at the Miller or would like to, you're welcome to add us as a friend.
We're in the backstreets of Borough/London Bridge. We put on live music most nights of the week, with four bands playing from about 7.30 onwards. We occasionally run all night gigs with bands followed by DJs, ending at about 7am. We also show films, theatre, comedy, poetry, art (see below).
PRACTICE ROOM NOW AVAILABLE - affordable rate, large room with PA, contact Richard to check availability.
We recently hosted events by:
STRANGER THAN PARADISE - a twisted exotic romp of balkan beats gypsy laments, and cosack high kicks! "a decadent playground of the unexpected..."
DREAMNIGHT - embracing London's creative community with a progressive mix of interactive art/live painting, music, film, craft, and...cake.
LAZY GRAMAPHONE - an arts collective and publisher testing the water in a few creative areas, showcasing upcoming talent in spoken word, live music, theatre performance and art: "a distorted reality is now a necessity to be free". BURNING HOUSES - Writers Theatre Company, recently performing 'Write side of the brain' - premiering 8 new plays over two weeks, with experiments in Drama, Poetry, Dance and Film.
WE WANT MORE OF THIS! If this is your thing please email us.
BANDS: We are not here just to pull pints! We aim to provide a friendly welcoming atmosphere and will help all bands with whatever whenever possible. Our mates regularly gig here and some of us have been known to come out from behind the bar and onto the stage.
To play a gig at The Miller, or promote an event please email [email protected]
Up All Night Promotions also put on loads of great gigs with us, (see friends link below) it is run by Phil Taylor - a musician himself. Up All Night's philosophy is to put the artists first! Where many venues charge bands or solo acts to play, they do not. Credited by TIME OUT as "Londons hardest working promoter".
Generally we're here to help, so if in doubt give us a ring or drop an e-mail to Richard, or Jamie - 020 7407 2690, more details can be found at www.themiller.co.uk
