About Me
I am a seasoned veteran of radio and television commercials and industrial films. I have can be currently seen on Channel 19 WOIO as “The Cleveland Guyâ€, which have received an Emmy and a Telly Awards, as well as, on-air weekly with Tailgate 19 on CBS. I have appeared in the feature films; “Striking Point†as John Burke, “My Summer Story†as The Bumpas’ , “Counterforce†and “Apres Film†as Jeff the Bartender. I am also a writer and producer. Some writing credits include commercials for the Ohio Lottery and live industrials for Progressive Insurance and PPG.I have spent my life in the Cleveland theatrical community, performing in various theaters and comedy clubs. I have been onstage in Cleveland theaters for over 20 years such as Ensemble Theater, Playhouse, Dobama Theater, The Kennedy and Cleveland Public Theater. As Co-founder and Artistic Director of Cabaret Dada and Something Dada, I found a place to harness my 30 years of acting experience. In addition to my role of Artistic Director for Cabaret Dada, I was Founder and Artistic Director of The Cleveland Black Box Theater, a program I designed for local talent. I am a regular with The Cleveland Symphony appearing yearly as Santa Clause at Severance Hall and most recently at Blossom Music Center. I teamed with Dada alumni Don Mitri to form The Cleveland Improv Institute, where they teach improvisation to novices and professionals. My many years of experience also make me a valuable teacher within the corporate and professional acting arena. Our two-man improv comedy show, called "Don and Jeff's One Man Revival… Whose Mess Is This?" was performed at the Kennedy's at Playhouse Square.
A seasoned stand-up comedian with over 18 years of experience. I have played clubs and colleges all over the country, including Jamaica. My show has been called dynamic, opinionated, and irascible. I have been called “...the funniest man in Clevelandâ€, “an opinionated slob’, and “a pure entertainerâ€. I co-produce comedy shows as “Hearts of Darkness – Brutal Comedy …for Brutal Timesâ€. Along with fellow comedian Mike Baker, I have produced 5 new shows with edgy, in-your-face comedy. The shows are a success for two reasons; first, Baker and I realized we had found a kindred spirit in each other and two; we could piss off a lot more people if we did shows together. I have also started, with Baker, as host of the weekly pod cast “F*You Marconi – The Funny People’s Radio Revolutionâ€. I have also become a partner in Cleveland Yucks, the areas first website devoted to and for comedy. (www.clevelandyucks.com). My newest comedy endeavor is "The Irregulars" (MySpace.com/Irregularcomics). This is a showcase of the comics you don't regularly see. The shows have been playing to huge houses at The Cleveland Improv. (www.cleveimprovupcoming.com for details)The difference with my show is I always have something new. My improvisational training keeps my act stocked with the everyday fascinating, infuriating and down right annoying characters you find in all walks of life. Thanks for stopping by.
