I've got the mutations. Where's my Super Power??

About Me

As a wife and mother of two kids, there is no shortage of comedic material thrown at me on a daily basis. The only female in a house of men? There's comedy there.... I can smell it. Either that, or one of them has shit their pants.
I'm a habitual blogger, and some times those blogs are anything BUT funny.
I like to see if I can get under people's skin. I'm opinionated. I ramble... a LOT. Life can kick your ass, and sometimes hashing it out helps. I love a great debate.
I believe the world needs to listen to one another a little more. If we can at least hear one another out, open our minds a bit, we all might be able to meet somewhere in the middle. So, if you're up for something silly, or maybe a deep thought or two, stop by the blog. Subscribe and stick around a bit. It's bound to get a little crazy there sooner or later.
I've become rather obsessive with taking pictures at my comedy shows and of my children since we got the New Camera in February. Stop by the Albums and see if you can find some familiar faces!!

My Interests

Music, Movies, art, the interaction of the worker bee and the fire ant as they struggle up the hill of life.... what the hell? Everything is interesting if you look hard enough.

I'd like to meet:

People. Specifically funny and open minded people. Llamas are cool, too. And Penquins. I'd like to meet a penguin.

Music:

70's and 80's One Hit Wonders. That is the soundtrack to my childhood, my teens... and I'm stuck there. Mentally and musically.

Movies:

E.T. The Extra Terrestrial...no "Favorites" list is complete without it...

The Good-Bye Girl The original movie, not the shitty TNT remake. What the HELL were they thinking, taking a wonderful romantic comedy and screwing it up like that? Someone deserves a smack in the throat for that....

The Color Purple

and yes.... the damn ROCKY movies. ALL of them.

Braveheart....is it still socially acceptable to enjoy Pre Nut-Job Mel?

American History X

How To Make an American Quilt

Super Troopers...and not just because Jim Gaffigan is in it...

Airplane!

Dodgeball

..... etc, etc, etc...

Television:

I will FOREVER be a fan of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel. I can't help it. I will debate with you why Spike was more bad-ass than Angel, and I will be correct. I will also sing every song from "Once More, With Feeling" if you have the time. Why? Because I'm retarded like that.

Books:

Anything by Stephen King. Well.... almost anything. Just about all of his work. It's amazing what having a famous name can do for a person, because he has floated out a few turds..... but over all? He rocks.

I don't have a lot of time for leasure-reading unless it involves Bob The Builder, Blue's Clues, or Dora and Diego. If you need the scoop on the latest Number of The Day? What Sammy The Sloth is up to? Yeah.... I gotcha covered!

Heroes:

My Husband. My kids. That’s three Heroes. A woman doesn’t need any more than that.

My Blog

Quickie!

Sorry I haven't replied to my last blog comments.  I'll get to it.  There are some fun starters to silly conversations there. Last night's show went VERY well.  I enjoyed the Feature Sp...

Bubbles and stuff.

Mom came over the other day while I was getting ready for a show.  She has this little bag of toys she keeps in her purse, and you'd think they were the BESTEST, most EXPENSIVE things money ...

On Pooping and Vampires and Peeing One’s Pants: Random Randomness at it’s Finest.

I think a woman has reached a point of obsession with a digital camera when she photographs her child's turd. What do you think? Yes, once again, Spencer was playing the "I don't HAVE to poop" game. B...

As I left the computer yesterday, having posted my "Today's going to be a good day!" blog, Spencer proceeded to kick his brother. HARD.  This landed him in a time out..... which produced much, MU...

Shake It Up Baby, Now!

When the boys take a tumble or bump themselves, we tell them to "Shake It Off". Now, we're not Hard Core parents of boys that ignore when they're hurt. We don't bark at them that "boys don't cry"...

I took the long way home.

I had some minor errands to run today, but Max was pretty vocal upon waking that he wanted to see his Nana and Papa.  Spencer was content to leave Max there and run errands with me..... until we ...

The Flip Side to The Father Coin

I know he loved me once.  At least,  I think he did. I can't find the picture of him and I together when I was a baby, but I know that's him there.  I remember the shirt. I went throug...
