Xtreme Metal
What started out as a two man band in the spring of 94...Revile was born to walk this side of the grave with the release of a 3 song demo. Allan Boughton, guitars & bass and Brian Ash, drums & vocals were ready to dig up the remaining stiffs to complete one of the heaviest bands in Michigan. With a twist of fate and the alignment of the planets the rest of the dead rose to greet the unsuspecting mortals, RJ Thomas, vocals and Shawn Petersen, guitar & bass. Lacking a bass player the band moved on releasing a 7 song demo in 96, after which they began dusting off the stones in surrounding cemeteries in search of what was missing. With shovels in hand the remains of bassist Jae Hamilton was unearthed. Now complete the five souls hit the studio to create Within the Garden; the full length CD, which with the help of the bands independent label went world wide. After a few years and some brutal shows openening for such acts as Cradle of Filth, Overkill, Death(rip chuck), Vader, Gorguts, Six Feet Under, Moonspell, Cannibal Corpse, Summon, Cryptopsy, Divine Empire, Nile, Internal Bleeding, Fleshgrind and graves full of local acts. R.J. & Shaun decided to head back to their respective graves. Through some personal tragedies, the remains also decided to visit the garden for reflection. Now after a short sleep, the decision has been made to up heave the earth once again. Luckily, a few fresh graves have already been unearthed. And out of the holes came Chad Schultz, guitars and Darren Middaugh vox. With the corpse sewn back together, the 5 stiffs have recorded an E.P. released in 06.
Unfortunately tragedy has struck the band with the death of co-founding member Allan Boughton(R.I.P.) and the dismissal of Darren due to conflicts of interest between Darren and the band. At this point the remaining members have once again decided to visit the garden for reflection. The future of Revile is still unclear at this time...

Death Metal
In the hellish heat of August 2006, Ritual Suicide was created by vocalist Ben Hoffman and lead guitarist Bryce Myers. For the rest of that year, Ben and Bryce wrote and rehearsed while looking for more souls to join the ritual. By 2007, Ben and Bryce had discovered those willing to commit and they took their ritual to the stage. As happens, conflictions arose and through suicidal osmosis former Revile Guitarist Chad Shultz, drummer James Coker, and rhythm guitarist Eric Lego entered the mix. Going into the studio in the summer of 2007, Ritual Suicide recorded a self-titled 5-song E.P. Soon after this, James left the band to pursue other interests and thus led to the current and final stage of the ritual, the joining of drummer Brian Ash; formerly of Revile and current member of Viewed From the Right. Hitting stages immediately, Ritual Suicide completed the 2007 year playing the Southwest Michigan circuit including Paisaino’s, Lone Eagle, BrewMasters, RedRum, Corner Bar, The DogHouse, Planet Rock, The In-Between, Oades, Stan’s Bar, and several venues and private parties with some of West Michigan's finest METAL bands. 2008 has already proven to be a successful year as Ritual Suicide took the first round of the MySpace Online Battle of the Bands hosted by “Support Your Local Music†out of Branch County. Ritual Suicide heads back into the studio to record a new single in April, which will be released on WZUU “The Zoo†92.5, Kalamazoo June 13th 08. While working on new cuts for a full-length CD, Ritual Suicide will be, performing with other brutal METAL acts. Looking to expand the participants in the ritual, the band is preparing for shows in Michigan, and abroad. Working with death on the mind, Ritual Suicide will be bringing the Ritual of METAL back to the stage and to the scene... Won't You Join Us!?
