Keep in mind we stay booked a couple months in advance always....so please check the calendar...and remember to promote your show, you get paid a split of the door so the more people you bring the more money you will make!!!
Sound guy gets paid : $40.00
Door guy gets paid : $10.00 an hour ( We cut the door guy if its lame)
Yes they both get paid outta the door, shows are not ran by The Corner Bar!!! The Corner Bar itself only provides a stocked bar and bartender for shows, otherwise shows are independent!!! Ran by: RickP Booking & Ent.

We book shows on Friday's & Saturdays...as well as some Wednesday's & Mondays!
Load in is always 8:30 pm.
Music almost always starts @ 10:00 pm
Cover is always 21+ $5.00 / 18-20 $8.00 dollars
The venue is ALWAYS 21+ on the weekends / 18+ on weekdays.
Set time are always 30 to 45 minutes (No Longer)
Please check out the bands you are asking to play with before you ask to play so you know if your band is going to fit! Take time to know the bands you are on a bill with! (You do not wanna be an Indie band on a Death Metal show, and I dont always have time to go back later and re-check everyone out, because an add on band needs to know. DO WORK SON!)
(If you are a local band and you play here and never bring anyone,First off thats sad, second off you will be paid very little if at all! PROMOTE!!!)
Q. What is the age limit for shows?A. 21+ except Mon. - Thurs. it is 18+. There are times that we might make exceptions or allow a DD or two in, but unless noted assume it is a 21+ show.
Q.What is The Corner Bar's address?A: 1030 E Vine St., Kalamazoo, MI 49001. We are on the corner of Vine and Mills. Call 269-385-2028 if you need further information.
Q: Why is there a cover charge for shows?A: It's how our bands get paid. You pay $5.00 to see three or more bands; a great deal. Support local music!
Q: What are some of the local promoters?A: Kalamazoo Gazette (the ticket), Western Herald, Recoil, Revue. You may have heard of us on the radio as well - 92.5, 107.7, 103.3, and 96.5!
Q:Do we make flyers or do you?
A: You make them and send them to us! We will handle the distributions around Kalamazoo.
