About Me

My apologies for not replying or being online in the moment, I have a lot to take care off in the moment, but I'll be back... ;)
I was a model and actress for 25 years in Germany and Australia and am now happily married in New York.
I lived in Frankfurt, Munich, Sydney (Northern Beaches) and now New York. Traveled the world many times over and worked in many beautiful countries.
I worked as a professional advertising model for commercials and photo shoots selling just about everything.
Clients included Grundig, Bertone, jeans companies, fashion designers, car manufacturers, Nestle', Schweppes, really too many to count in a 25 year career.
I also was working in films and on TV, playing homemakers, mothers, secretaries,wives and girlfriends... again many more characters... I've been told I have a great sense of humor, so I did a lot of comedies.
..
I have three wonderful children whom I love deeply.
I also was a gourmet chef and owned my own catering company for 16 years called "L'Oasis Cuisine" and "Inga's Delights" in Sydney, Australia.
I worked as food critic back in Germany and met some of the best chefs in the world.
"My vision was and still is, to recapture the heart, the soul, the beauty and the passion of food and style of entertainment
so that the senses reach, and even transcend, the peak of experience."
I will soon post a link to my FOOD webpage with some of the best loved recipes, some history of food and FUN ;)
As Salmoneus puts it:
I also worked with my ex-husband in the fashion industry (rag trade in Australia)
We worked for Corneliani, La Matta, Missoni,
Egon von Furstenberg (the brother of Ira von Furstenberg) and Boss and many others,
in Italy mainly (Milan, Mantua, Florence, Rome etc.)
I had a fashion company with a friend, Hans Weitzman in Sydney called "Saint Germaine".
Advertising is another forte...
My husband who works under the name of Zed is a musician.
Embrace music, in fact all art, for it's inherent greatness;
Embrace greatness, for it realizes potential;
Embrace potential, it is a map to success;
Embrace success, with it you can inspire;
Embrace inspiration; it breeds variety;
Embrace variety of it's own accord; life would be boring without it.
Embrace life, for it ends all too quickly...
Embrace the moment.

I LOVE meaningful words in general, therefore lyrics, which have a message and staying power through the wisdom contained in them. The life experiences of past generations gets passed down in this way almost like osmosis! I strive to tell all my lyrical friends to keep writing songs with this in mind. This way you're thoughts can live on! The spoken word is essential for our survival and culture.

My Interests

Inga's Interests: Cooking, travelling, skiing, my children and my soulmate Zed.

...ooh and my Golden Retriever KAI!

And I LOVE chilies.. to be exact Thai chilies, the red beautiful pungent ones, hard to find here in the northeast US, but I have my local oriental grocery always getting me some.

I LOVE model railroads and I've built about 130 model houses, all in HO and from Marklin, Faber, Fleischmann etc.

MMORPG Game GUILD WARS (I have every character and have played in every way since beta 2004).

LOL ~ It might seem odd but playing this game relaxes me and takes my attention away from stress related issues.

I play over 50 characters, every profession, Dervish, Warrior, Necromancer, Ranger, Assassin, Monk, Elementalist, Mesmer, Ritualist and Paragon.

 I love every character, they are mostly women, but I have a few male characters too! I just LOVE roleplaying... my acting heritage I guess.

My kids are lucky that I am involved in it if not more than they are! LOL ~ I am highly competitive and love to master the impossible quests/missions.

Keep the FANTASY alive!!!

I also like text-based RPG games(I beta tested games by Simutronics).

MUSIC, Reading, Movies, Politics, Dinner Parties, Fine Restaurants,

Car Racing (I used to be a photographer's assistant for Formula One back in 1979/80.)

Photography, thanks to Rainer Schlegelmilch, Legend and Partner for part of my life.

Visit his site:
http://www.schlegelmilch.com

for REAL RACING FANS!

I will soon put some of my shots up with some of the LEGENDS of Formula One which still have to be converted from slides. Some of my racing friends have gone, but they are not forgotten!

All photos are taken by me and my property.

..
Cool Slideshows

I used to sail, nice 16 footers in the South of France and Australia up and down the coastline,
and used to skydive and scuba dive, I LOVE the mountains and SNOW!

ALAS I LOVE Christmas ~ a magical time!!

Good conversations with interesting, deep and wise people.
I love to discover new territories and love new challenges.

I am a history buff, love the Greeks, Ancient Egypt...

I am into ART, draw and paint myself...

I LOVE antiques, great craftsmanship, materials like wood, marble, great fabrics like heavy silk, chiffon, fine linen, damask, cashmere, handmixed oil-based colors...

I love weapons, beautifully crafted. My husband and I share this passion and we have a nice collection ;)

I have an "old" website based on an .. game, but full of weapons, armor, Greek, Nordic history etc. I've been told schoolchilden use my site as a research tool and had the honor of being asked by The History Channel to be on their program as an expert on Vikings, namely Berserkers.

Some of the pictures might be missing since I don't keep it up anymore, but it's still worth a look if you are into such things ;)

or

Beautifuly crafted music instruments, unique styles, outstanding craftsmanship, done by hand.

The same applies to cars. I was lucky enough to met Bertone who was an outstanding car designer and I sat and even drove in many of his prototypes.

There is so much beauty in this world... NATURE! There is nothing more soothing and more perfect than to be quietly wandering in the woods, smelling the earth; on top of a mountain or at sunrise/sunset on an empty beach.

Like I said this is just a facet of me;)

I used to say that on my 60th birthday I want to ride a nice Harley, if I live that long I'll do it!

I am a fan of words, of language.

 I have found that every language, every culture, has it's own very interesting and meaningful set of words, which I embrace greatly! Most of these can't even be translated into any other language, or it loses not only it's true meaning, but it's own unique magic! So if you notice I'm using certain words in certain places, know this about me ;)

Music:

This is hard yet easy...I love music which comes from the heart and follows it. Everyone is different and has different experiences in life...I love as mentioned many times before great lyrics and a great deliverance of it. Musicians who are alive and interacting with the audience. I have many sides to me, so my music choices will reflect that.

I will start off with Roy Harper who has had a great influence on me and the video below also incorporates Salvatore Dali, one of my favourite artists.

I met him when I was 4 years old, my Gran was also a singer and knew him well. I met him later again through friends when I was a model in Germany. Love the guy to death!

Ivan Rebroff is a German singer with an extraordinary vocal range of four and a half octaves; this is in the soprano to bass registers. He is currently in the Guiness World Book of Records for the man with the largest singing range. He is also the man with the lowest note ever sung.

There are some wonderful, great musicians out there and I like to focus on those, no matter the age... music doesn't recognize age only talent, some of the tunes written ages ago make it in new forms into our life today.
