Seit 1978 toure ich als Bassist durch Clubs und Hallen in Deutschland, sowie Österreich, Schweiz, Italien und Großbritannien. Erste Erfolge hatte ich als Toursupport für die britischen Bands Rosetta Stone (1979) und Agony Bag (1979/80). Es folgten Studioproduktionen, Konzerte und Sessions mit Musikern von Alice Cooper, Toto, Quiet Riot, Geezer Butler Band, James Brown, Cactus, Leningrad Cowboys, BAP und vielen anderen. Dabei reicht das musikalische Spektrum von Heavy Metal über Southern Rock bis hin zur Gospelmusik und – Blues. Mit den Blues Cruisers (seit 1988), Thundering Hearts (1990) und All Colours (1998) bestreite ich noch weiterhin regelmäßig Auftritte. 1998 gründete ich mit Michael Lehberger (voc., git.) aus Saarbrücken und dem Frankfurter Thomas Frömming (dr) meine eigene Band BLACKBOX. Wir reisen durch die deutschen Clubs mit einem Programm, welches vorwiegend aus den Bluesrockklassikern der 60er und 70er Jahre besteht. Songs von Muddy Waters, Johnny Winter, Jimi Hendrix, Cream und Robin Trower erwachen neben BLACKBOX-Originals durch sehr freie und teilweise experimentelle Interpretationen zu neuem Leben. Aktuell bin ich bei Europas erfolgreichster AC/DC Showband HOLE FULL OF LOVE beschäftigt, mit der ich 2004 in Afghanistan für die ISAF auftrat. Mit dem CD Projekt HOLEFULL werden eigene Songs präsentiert, die von Martin Kent aka 'Ace' (Skunk Anansie) und Herman Frank (Accept) produziert wurden. Die CD 'Holefull' erschien 2006.
Since 1978 I’m touring through the German clubs, also in Austria, Switzerland, Italy, UK. I had first success by supporting the British bands Rosetta Stone (1979) and Agony Bag (1979/80). After that I worked and played together with a huge number of well known musicians like members of the Alice Cooper Band, Toto, Quiet Riot, Geezer Butler Band, James Brown, Cactus, Leningrad Cowboys, BAP and many more. So I played all styles of music over the years - from Heavy Metal to Blues and Gospel. In 1998 I founded my own band BLACKBOX. The setlist contains Classic Rock and Blues Rock of the 60’s and 70’s – there are songs of Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Robin Trower, which seem to get new life because of the band's experimental way of playing - not forgetting the BLACKBOX originals. Mike Lehberger (guitar, voc., born in Saarbrücken) and Thomas Frömming on drums make the band complete. Currently I’m also touring with Europe’s most successful AC/DC tribute showband HOLE FULL OF LOVE. In 2004 I performed with HFOL in Afghanistan to entertain the ISAF. The CD project HOLEFULL presents own material, produced by Martin Kent aka 'Ace' (Skunk Anansie) and Herman Frank (Accept). The CD 'Holefull' was released in 2006.
