I'm a HUGE fan of social justice, and I really enjoy learning about other cultures and lifestyles. I love equality and generosity, I'm learning how to communicate compassionately, and LOVE parties! I've recently become very interested in sustainable energies, building, agriculture, etc...and I'm even dabbling in politics. In fact, a have a sweet team of friends who are trying to create a whole Cabinet-level DEPARTMENT for me in the U.S.!Environmentalism's HOT! I believe that when we take good care of our planet, we have less to fight over! Here are some simple tips to help that happen:
EVERYBODY! Seriously, I think I have something to offer everyone, regardless of age, race, gender, nationality, political affiliation...That's really one of the best things about being me...I love everyone! In fact, I especially love those who think their values and mine don't mix, because my experience tells me that we have more in common that they think.I'm especially interested in youth, because you guys and gals are the future - LITERALLY! - and I think I have a lot to learn from you. I hope you are willing to learn from me and my friends too!
There's so much great stuff out there! Most of my favorite songs were written in the 60's, but I have a lot of current favorites too...I'll begin compiling a list soon... email me suggestions!
I'll make a list here too, but here's my general take on movies:The vast majority of commercially-produced films are far too violent for my tastes. Even the ones in which a "hero" does something silly like "save the world", HE (and it's almost always a HE) usually accomplishes this by beating up or killing some shallow, "evil" character. I think we all know that violence begets violence, so this plot - for me - has gotten quite old and misleading. The great news is that the opposite is also true: respect, compassion, and justice beget themselves too!
Same as movies, for the most part.
There are some GREAT books out there....list coming soon!email me suggestions!
I'll start with the basics: Sweet Tiny Infant Lord Baby Jesus, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., John Lennon...
