Trees is a band with a reason. "Although at first, we didn't know this". Matty and Brian wanted of take their dream of becoming successful in the music business to the next level, so they decide to go to college to become recording engineers. There they met Dole, who is the head of the recording department of the college they chose. Dole was in search of a vocalist for a much different project and decided to give Matty a listen. In the beginning, they worked on songs Dole had already recorded and some that Matty and Brian had with them. But the sound was not what they were looking for. After about a half dozen songs, they really wasn't to excited. Dole had been in the process of producing albums with other groups when he decided to talk to Matty about doing the project from a different perspective. "Why don't we write some stuff around your style and see where it takes us". Matty agreed and the trees were born. Brian's cousin, Justin was in another group when Brian was finally able to convince him to join the group. The band members, as all band members do, became very close and realized that what was happening was meant to be. The title of thier first released is "BACK TO ROOTS" and the concept is simple. The world can be a cold place of hate and we need more positve songs. "WE NEED TO SING ABOUT LOVE AND PEACE". Trees is a very spiritual band that knows it was a higher power that brought them together so they could sing the good message as those before us have. So therefore, they have chose to go "BACK TO ROOTS" Now, what is the reason for the TREES? To send a message of LOVE & PEACE
