When I want you, you'll know it.

About Me

Do I have to?If it weren't for dance, I'd probably never exercise as I don't like exerting myself. That coupled with the alarmingly large quantity of food I consume is an endless source of amazement for people because I remain slim. Good genes I suppose. Others have speculated that perhaps there is an alternate universe version of me who never eats yet gains all the weight that I don't.I enjoy mostly indoor activities, such as long discussions over drinks, playing games, reading, doing needlepoint, and other old lady activities. Whenever I see movies where teenagers are at wild parties I wonder, "Where was _I_ when all this was happening? Oh, that's right! I was at home baking cookies with a friend." I love cooking and have been known to make coq au vin for lunch...to eat alone. Besides going to the beach or terrace dining, I never quite understood what's so great about being outside in relation to people describing themselves as "outdoorsy." Strolling through lively city streets - yes, hiking through heavily wooded areas - no...There really aren't enough Asian celebrities to compare myself adequately to. Supposedly myheritage.com scanned my face and found I resemble the celebrities below. If only I really did look anything like Catherine Zeta-Jones or supermodel Shalom Harlow! I think their software is in dire need of some tweaking.

My Interests

Eating, dancing (mainly belly dance and ballet, but have dabbled in many others), all performing arts, reading, speaking French, international travel, cooking, Scrabble, Balderdash, animals, Best of Craigslist, Ranma 1/2, yaoi, makeup (I love how it can transform people's faces), Eddie Izzard, drag queens, Edward Gorey, Bill Bailey, Louis CK, DDR (half the fun is shrieking, cursing, flailing and then laughing at myself for being so abysmally terrible at it) - I know I'm obsessed because I find myself picturing floating arrows while people are talking to me sometimes.

I'd like to meet:

Intelligent people who make me laugh, will tell me stories, and let me play horsey on their back....er...just kidding about the last bit...but not really. Please write to me before asking me to add you.

Television:

Absolutely Fabulous, Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, reality shows involving people humiliating themselves (e.g. America's Next Top Model), the Venture Bros., Aqua Teen Hunger Force, 24, Cracker, Extras....Why do people who don't watch TV always have to say it like they think they're better than you?

Tu me manques encore

Il y a quelques soirs, j'ai fait un rêve de toi et quand je me suis réveillée, ça m'a étonné à quel point tu restes encore dans mes pensées. Je le hais. J'aurais dû t'oublier après tout ce temps...

An Improvement From Midnight Pork Chops

I thought I would try going to bed early last night (around 10:30 instead of the usual 2am) and skipping second dinner, but as I lay in bed reading all I could think about was roast beef and York...

L'amour, pas pour moi

J'ai jamais de chance dans l'amour bien que je sois plutôt attirante, amusante, intéressante, même douée dans la cuisine et ailleurs (si on sait ce que je veux dire), très gentille (juste quelqu'un de...

Do I look that young?

As giddy as it makes me to still get carded for alcohol at my age, it can be rather inconvenient. I stopped by a liquor store last night with my friend who was getting wine for her dinner pa...

Mon Anglophilie

J'admets ouvertement d'être une Francophile depuis des années, mais je me suis juste récemment rendue compte d'être une encore plus grosse Anglophile. J'adoooore surtout l'accent! Comme toutes les fil...

Who am I kidding?!

I can't live on the east coast! It's only 6° outside (-14° Celsius if I _really_ want to feel sorry for myself). The Weather Channel says it feels like -5°, which I can vouch for since I just took out...

Sappy Arabic love songs....

I've started choreographing a new piece to the Abdel Halim Hafez classic, "Zay el Hawa". Here's an excerpt of the translation from Arabic to English: Zay el hawa ya habibi, zay el hawa. It feels like ...
