My husband, kids (3 boys), extended family, friends, home, & businesses. I love all things food related! I love to entertain, plan parties, meet new people, travel, go to decent restaurants, listen to music, exercise, garden, read, research, study Celtic culture, watch a good movie, go out and have some drinks now and then, walk my dog, hmmm - let me think, what else?
People who enjoy entertaining! Why hire an in-home Caterer?
Everybody knows a great meal provides a perfect setting for good conversation, and fun times. But the busier we are, the less time we have to enjoy each other. Even if someone does have the time to prepare for a gathering, they may not want to be bothered with all the work! That’s time better spent socializing. Everyone deserves time off to spend with the special people in their lives; without having to worry about all the little details. It’s hard to socialize with your guests while your mind is busy worrying about; planning, organization, preparation, timing, set-up, service, take-down, and clean-up. By the time your done doing everything—you’re exhausted, and the guests are ready to leave! How fun was that? Believe me, I know! The service I am offering is a service that will relieve you of the work involved in all things food related. I’ll even shop for the groceries! When most people think of catering,
they think — TOO EXPENSIVE!DINING BY DANA is not an expensive service because I have very minimal overhead. I don’t lease commercial space or have utilities to pay for concerning this business. Also, In order for most caterers and club facilities to make a profit, they will charge you three times the amount of the food cost, plus the cost of the room. Again, my overhead is low; I don’t have to do that to make a profit.
If you decide you need more space, and you want to rent a large facility; we can work that out also.
The amount I will charge you for this service will depend upon the type of event, amount of guests, style of cuisine (x-tra charge for intricate hors d’oeuvre platters and food carvings), and time involved. You’ll pay for the estimated cost of the food up front.
Depending upon the size of your gathering, and whether or not it is buffet-style or a sit-down dinner; you may want to consider a wait-staff. If that is the case; I figure one server per 8-10 guests is appropriate, and I will apply a fee for each server.
Does all of this sound fair? Then please message me about your next special event, and I will sit down and go over it all with you. I am committed to making your gathering a wonderful experience and treasured memory!
