It is the dreamer who knows the true longing for places only traveled in the imagination...

About Me

There are only five things you need to know about me, Purses, Shoes, Music, Food and I wear make up for your benefit......... not mine!
I come from a mixture of cultures.... Irish, Scots, Okinawian & African. I speak three languages semi fluently; know enough to get around, cuss up a storm and drink with the best of them!
I look in the mirror, and I see a road that changes us physically. The frustrations, the insults, the fighting, the work, the wanting, the conversations, the laughter, the negotiations and the love, (not to forget the love songs....) All these things put lines in our faces. A map of who we are, where we have been and where we are going, what we have accomplished and what we still need to do. It strengthens our spirits, even when our spirits are healthy to begin with. I'm not afraid of the lines... the map in the mirror. I will follow them and see where else they lead me.
I like being a big goof, and just like to have fun. The biggest goof is my friend Colleen. My favorite damsel in distress who I can laugh with on line for hours is "The Pit Bull~ Mad Maggie" and Heather is my guardian, travel companion and Rennie partner in crime, Trace is my friend who I've yet to meet from NZ, who has a great sense of humor and punches right through the ups and downs, Sue, ahhh, she and I can muster up some conversation and noboy better get in our way! Espeically when alcohol is involved! I love all of them to pieces! I love to make my friends get their picture with people/strangers who they would love to meet, but don't have the nerve. Nothing worse than a pushy friend, aye? So far no regrets, and great memories.
I love kegs of beer just piled up everywhere. Let's me know there's a grand party somewhere and the empites are waiting for a refill to begin it all over again. Irish Festivals are a great place to find huge piles of kegs! The best pictures are of people on or around kegs of beer, notice how they have this great big huge grin in those? hahahaha I love it!
I love being around my friends!

SAVE TARA ON MYSPACE!

Please Sign the petition to block the M3
Please support the "Save Tara" project. Join hundreds of academics and thousands of people wordwide who are petitioning the Taoiseach of the Irish Government to stop the current archaeological excavations and reroute the M3 motorway away from the Hill of Tara archaeological complex, Ireland's premier national monument. To put a major roadway anywhere near these ancient ruins will destroy the lands, and the soul of Tara... never to be admired again... Tara should be protected from destruction and commercialism of the modern day. Let Tara live to breath the air and remain untouched by machinery and the signs of Evolution. Let Tara remain at peace for all generations to come.

Here is a wonderful friend and an Electrifying Actor from Dublin, Ireland...(Gangs of New York, Howie the Rookie, Shakespears The Tempest, and more)
Mark Byrne

Ireland
Home of one of the worlds most ancient site, Tara. Where the high Kings would rule over the lands and Lia Fail, The stone of Destiny.
Scotland
Home of Robert Burns, one of our great poets, William Wallace and the Jocobite upraising. And some really great Scotch!

My Interests

The Seven Nations

I've always found the Celts to be an interesting tribe of people. Their history and culture has long been illuminating for me.~ I'll find something interesting about one of the Seven Nations and spend days reading up on the subject. National Geographic Magazine has a nice article & slide show called The Celtic Realm which depects the Celts quite nicely.

Mountain Climbing,

I especially like to climb with my Scottish buddies.... kilted! But any mountain, anytime will do me just fine~
Baseball

now if only the Red Sox would do something interesting again~
Cooking a great meal.

I love food and a really great experiment with foods. I once made a chicken vindeloo that looked horrid, but the flavors were like a party! Yum, spicy curries!!! Awesome! ~
Beer

Scotch

Whiskey (Whisky)

Wine

They all make for a great night out with good friends. I'm not a girly drink person, most of the time those are too sweet to take or have milk in it.... Milk just doesn't belong in an alcoholic beverage. Not much of a mix drink drinker either. Just give me a beer or whiskey, or scotch and I'm good to go. I almost always have Heather with me when out with alcohol, she doesn't touch the stuff and is a great guardian & "DD".The moon... so interesting, so alluring, mysterious.....

This is our current moon position; at the Northern Hemisphere.

Coffee is a must first thing in the morning, and good dose of some really great music.

I'm not into the frappucino, cappuccino, latté, espresso stuff too much, but I will have a cup every once in a while... ordinarily,, it's just a cuppa coffee. From there, I can handle whatever the day throws at me.

I've been just about everywhere in the world. I love to travel and will pack it up and hit the road and any good opportunity, providing the cash is available. My travel stats:
Asia (25%)
Africa (25%)
Canada (80%)
Scandinavia (40%)
Latin America (13%)
Eastern Europe (60%)
United Kingdom (50%)
Western Europe (86%)
Southern Europe (73%)
Western United States (58%)
Midwest United States (75%)
Southern United States (54%)
No.East United States (100%)
Did I mention that I love men in kilts???

I'd like to meet:

Anyone and everyone, I'm a friendly sort, but don't go posturing around me like a puffed up peacock.... It won't get you anywhere!
For my online friends, I'd really love to meet Trace & Therese. I want to watch Trace paint "live" and climb that mountain she's always taking pictures of in New Zealand. I want to see a real Kangaroo in Australia and experience Winter Moon with Therese! Then there's Jay.... the cowboy, I'm good with just knowing him as my daily dose of comedy via the internet, and his weekly updates on the ranch, but if truth be told, yeah.... All these years of cyber ghost etc... gotta meet him too.

Anyway, here are some of my favorite celebrities (in no particular order) that I wouldn't mind sharing a few pints with....

Music:

I play the violin,

I don't play well, but I enjoy it just the same. I truly believe that playing and reading music keeps your mind alive. I love any music that moves me. Tapping my toes, clapping my hand, banging my head, or shaking the bootie; whatever, if it moves me, it's all good.

Some inspiring favorites are: John Lee Hooker, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rusted Root, Lorenna McKennitt, Greenwich Meantime, Seven Nations, Chee-Yun, Dave Matthews Band, Peter Gabriel, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Glengarry Bhoys, The Tragically Hip, The Sundays, U2, Young Dubliners, Beatles.... the list goes on, but you get the picture ;)

Heroes:

Grandpa... One of my fondest memories is of us peeling bananas together, we must have peeled 20+ bananas, and Mum had no idea what she was going to do with so many peeled bananas.
