This is not a band, but a venue. Based in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains, this is a venue with a plan:The aim of the project is to bring exposure to upcoming artists/groups specifically from the Blue Mountains area, and to the area itself as a serious original/ live music source and destination. At the moment the live music in the area is suffering because of small audiences and the proximity to Sydney's live music scene. Unknown to many, a significant number of popular live acts in Sydney were formed by and /or include Blue mountains artists, many of them playing regular gigs at Katoomba's only venue worth mentioning, Tris elies. Eg: Funk Injection, Hermitude, Fluoxetine and Jumbledat. Other groups with ties to the Blue Mountains area include Red Bee, Jimmi Carr & the Giant Killers, Gauche, B'dussy, The Bakery, Blue Juice, Down Under Beats Crew, Rikatedis, Comatone, Rum Punch, Babalu, and many more. It is currently very hard for Mountains bands to break into the Sydney scene, and this project has changed that by recording the live performances of the 5 hottest local acts at Triselies, and releasing a compilation DVD/CD of the resulting recordings. Featuring songs and interviews with the bands, it is a true representation of the vibe that is TrisElies!TrisElies is also the funkiest place to check out some of the hottest local and international live acts in a warm and friendly environment. Featuring one of the best PA systems in the southern hemisphere, it is guaranteed to blow you away - as an artist and as a punter.
