Ran-Dee was born and raised in the concrete jungle of Brooklyn, NY. At the age of 20, he left the life he knew behind, so that he could begin his knew life half-way around the world. The main reason for this, was to follow his baby momma (Aussie girl) who was about to give birth to his daughter in a foreign country. So begins the journey.

He remembers back to when he was still in NY..
His first taste of music industry experience came when he took over a party promotions company called Urban Groove in 1995. This was a small organization which helped promote underground events through utilizing their networking skills, flyering, and a 24 hour info line. Not too long after, he bacame partner in another project called Festa's Quest, which was named after the sudden passing of good friend DJ Festa. Together with DJ Moses, Festa's brother, they organized, promoted, and peformed at many underground events.
Ran-Dee then diverted his attention to Audio Engineering, and was lucky enough to grab himself an Assistant Engineer position at Power Play Studios, which is well known in NY as a popular spot for many hip hop artists, among other styles of music too.. It was originally owned by Rakim of Erik B. and Rakim fame. During his time there, Ran-Dee's most meorable sessions were the few months he spent helping record the X-ecutioners, for their album X-pressions. Shortly after he left to further his knowledge, and went to study at The Institute of Audio Engineering, where he received his diploma.
Skip a few drama filled years, and Ran-Dee finds himself in the beautiful country of Australia. Very soon after landing in Sydney Australia, he realizes he is surrounded by a young, flourishing, talented, hip hop scene. It was only a matter of time before this hustler started making some big moves..
Ran-Dee has been hosting and producing quality radio shows in Sydney for over 5 years. He trained and worked on Sydney's largest community station FBI when it first launched. He started out hosting during the the graveyard shift, and after a while was asked to fill in for one month of their prime time show, The Bridge, and also dis a few random fill-in slots during various daytime shows. He then left FBI after a year and a bit, to pursue a great opportunity at Australia's largest internet radio station, Bondi FM.
Along with his co-host, Mere*D, they started up Bondi FM's longest running Hip Hop show, Shoreshot. For around 4 years they delivered great radio to the world, and in that time interviewed some of the worlds finest Hip Hop artists, including DJ Premier, Talib Kweli, Bahamadia & DJ Statik, Roc Raida, Blackalicious, Lyrics Born, Roots Manuva, Hilltop Hoods, and many more.
After a few great years with Bondi FM, in mid 2007 Ran-Dee decided to jump at an opportunity to join the team at SBS's Alchemy Radio, a national radio station owned by one of Australia's largest media organizations. He is now apart of the team on Alchemy's premier Hip Hop / Dancehall show, The Tipping Point, along with fellow co-hosts Kween G and DJ Jonah. Together they have already interviewed some of the most accomplished artist, including Afrika Bambaataa, Junior Reid, Z-Trip, Dilated Peoples, the Jungle Brothers, Keith Murray, Pharoahe Monch, and many more. Their show airs every Friday night 11pm-1am (Sydney time). For more info check out www.sbs.com.au/alchemy
Ran-Dee is also involved in a few other areas of the music industry. His production company, Joint Adventure, quickly became recognized for delivering high quality events, after their success with the 2006 DMC NSW State Finals. Continuing on that high, Joint Adventure dropped a stack of shows on the Sydney area, including numerous album launches, national tours, and Sydney events for various local and international artists. Last, but certainly not least, Ran-Dee is also known around town as the MC for his group The Hook. They are a young, up and coming crew of musicians who are first making a name for themselves. Their sound is an original blend of hip hop crossed with funk, drum n bass, breakbeat, and everything else in between. His ability to get the crowd going, and his vibrant personality have lallowed him the opportunity to be host MC at numerous events including all of Joint Adventure's shows (listed above), Gimme Some More @ The Metro (featuring Talib Kweli, Bahamadia, Jean Grey, Z-trip, MC Supernatural, etc), Fuzzy's Summer Breaks @ The Bondi Pavillion, The Nextmen @ The Forum, The 2007 Elements Tour (Z-Trip, Jungle Brothers, Swollen Members, DJ Format), O-ii-shi, and many more.
