Earth First! Journal

No Compromise in Defense of Mother Earth!

About Me

For more than 25 years, the Earth First! Journal has been the voice of the radical environmental movement. Published six times a year, it contains reports on direct action; articles on the preservation of wilderness and biological diversity; news and announcements about EF! and other radical environmental groups; investigative articles; critiques of the entire environmental movement; book and music reviews; essays exploring ecological theory and a lively letters to the editors section.
The Earth First! Journal is an essential forum for discussion within Earth First! and the broader radical environmental movement. It is always bold, controversial, amusing and diverse in content and style. You won't find hard-hitting news like this anywhere else.

I'd like to meet:

Folks who love the Earth First! Journal and want to help support it.

Here are some ways you can help support the Journal:

Subscribe. Receive the Earth First! Journal on your doorstep six times a year. Subscriptions are $25 regular rate; $22 low income; $40 first class (US, Canada, Mexico); $45 for two years; $50 international air mail; and $500 for a lifetime subscription. Donate. It takes a lot of juice to put out this publication. Contributions are appreciated, as are gifts of stock and in-kind donations of equipment, supplies, furniture, computers, etc. If you have contacts with any foundations, or ideas of people or places we could request donations from, please let us know. Spread the word. Do you know any friends who would be interested in reading the Journal? If so, send us their names and addresses, and we'll send them an invitation to get involved. Or if you prefer, contact us and receive the information to pass along to them directly. Help us get on the shelves. Visit your local bookstore, health food store, news stand, library, infoshop. If there is a glaring hole where the Journal should be, please ask them to start carrying it. (Note: It is a better deal for us if you subscribe, rather than purchasing the Journal on a news stand.) Have a party. Host a house party for the Journal. It's simple: Invite all of your friends, maybe have some music lined up, ask for donations at the door or encourage partygoers to subscribe. It's fun too! Submit. We gladly accept submissions to the Journal. We'll take your stories (direct action news, investigative pieces, strategy musings, letters, you name it), poetry, artwork and photographs. Take action. Do direct actions and the Journal will tell the world about it. Volunteer. There is nothing as valuable as your time. Contact us if you'd like to pitch in.
For more information about how to get involved, message us on MySpace or email us at [email protected] .
