Laundrette

The Laundrette were born in 1993. Since the very first moment the band settled on a classic power-trio line-up: Marco Carlini, drums and voice, Massimo Bartera, bass and voice, Lucio Febo, guitar. Since1995 the Laundrette undertook an intense and incessant live activity which got them sharing stages with bands such as Uzeda, Blonde Redhead, Three Second Kiss, Sophia, Karate etc. In 1997 recorded 10 tracks for “altitude” (Vurt Recordz Rome), which was realized with the artistic production of David Lenci. The CD expressed Laundrette's attempt to recreate the physical intensity of their live shows with a straightforward approach. In 2000 their cd “concrete and glass” was put out by Gammapop and Freeland, occasionally united. The CD confirms the artistic maturity and the intensity that define the band live as well as in the studio. In June of 2001 the Laundrette participate in the first Red House Blues cd, produced by Gammapop, with Sean Meadows (of June of’44, Sonora Pine, Lungfish fame) and David Lenci. In 2002 The Red House Blues Revue followed a tour and the recording of 10 tracks for a new album (“essential ordinary revolution” – Lake Records). After these experiences the Laundrette became four, thanks to Rino Bartera’s guitar. This was just the right direction for the new one “weird place to hide”, out in 2003 by Suiteside. It was recorded at Red House Recording Studio of Senigallia (Ancona), with Juan Carrera (Slowdime rec) from Chicago behind the mixer, and it was mastered by Massimo Mosca of Three Second Kiss. After two years of shows all over the country, unfortunately Lucio left the band. Again a power-trio, in the spring of 2006 the Laundrette recorded 10 new tracks at the Red House Recording, with David Lenci at the sound engineering, for a new album coming out in march 2007 for Black Candy Records.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
