'Art cannot be modern.. Art is primordially eternal. - Egon Schiele

About Me

Get Your Own! | View SlideshowI am an artist, I guess that defines me. I am spiritual, sensual, spontaneous, serious, fun, crazy, outgoing, introspective, philosophical, open-minded, I love love and I love life. For me, art is like life, I let art teach me how to live, and life teach me how to paint. I am primarily a painter, I feel that painting is the best means for me to portray my emotions, since art allows freedom of expression. The beauty in art is that it brings together reality and fantasy and this is why in most cases I usually tear parts of the paper or the canvas in order for the painting to form part with what lies beneath it - Life itself. One can view some of my art works on: www.myspace.com/ainhoa_art .I am also interested in photography, mainly self-portraits. All the photos seen on this site were taken by myself, of myself, by using a mirror and having myself as a subject and photographer. Sometimes it makes me wonder which is reality? which is illusion? Can reality be the mirror's reflection? does the photo reveal the truth? Perhaps I am the illusion...In any case, my photographs are taken for my own personal self-exploration, having artistic rather than photographic intentions. I do not see through the eyes of a photographer but through the eyes of a painter. I am able to view the photo as though it were itself a painting. My self-portraits are essential for my understanding of myself, my art, my mind, and my soul. It is feeling beyond life itself. For me these photos deal with introspection, were I am able to look into myself, and discover new parts of me each time. Layout made by sweetONyou080 at CreateBlog.com .
