Aaron Benjamin is a vocalist and musician from Brighton UK who now lives in Malta.
Aaron has been around music all his life and in 1999 he and four other singers joined together to form a group that eventually evolved into the now disbanded band "Protocol"
Whilst in development, the group, who were originally known as "Fortis Green", and later "Taxi", worked alongside major producers from the UK and Sweden, who were behind such acts as The Appleton’s, Lee Ryan, Danni Minogue and the Backstreet Boys, ( Savan kotecha , Andy Hayman, Gareth Young and Damian Legassick to name a few.)
The group at that time were developed by manager Richard Belcher and Oliver Smallman from First Avenue Records / Atlantis Management and UK producer Michael Fallon, who were instrumental in procuring a publishing deal with Warner Chappell UK and a record deal with Polydor/Universal.
After careful consideration, Aaron amicably left the group in 2003 to pursue a different direction in music.
"Taxi" recruited a new member called Dom and renamed themselves "Protocol". The new line up went on to release two singles but disbanded in 2006.
Recently Aaron, now solo, has released his debut single "In My Head" in Malta.
It was produced by 'Boris Cezek' (New Harmonics) and a club mix produced by Bay Radio's 'Toby'. The single was voted No.1 by Cental FM listeners for three consecutive weeks, and has remained in the Top 5 for 12 weeks. He has also spent 11 weeks on the XFM official charts, and reached high in the Top 20 on both XFM and Bay Radio.
Aaron is now resident in Malta, and is keen on making a substantial contribution to the Maltese and European music scene.
