About Me:
I have been performing as a solo-singer since 2003 and for those of you who have known me for any length of time, you will know that this project was a long time coming and well overdue! My first "live performance" was some time ago when I appeared in a production of the musical Tin Pan Alley at the age of 16... Prior to Tin Pan Alley I had always known that I wanted to work as a singer, but was never quite sure where to begin and auditions can be quite overwhelming at such a young age!!! That said, I did sieze the opportunity to sing, wherever I could, and have "hijacked" various peoples sets along the way...!
Anyway, eventually, in 2003, I took the decision to start working as a solo-singer - this was a tough decision to reach; truth be told, I would far rather have been performing with a band and could certainly have done with the moral support of other band members at that time.... So, nerves aside, I debuted as a singer in my own right in 2003 at a crowded bar - where, thankfully, I received unbelievable audience response...
Since my debut in 2003, I've never really looked back and recent tour history has included two shows for the Gibraltar Governments “Gib Summer Nights” and Gibraltar Summer Fair; both events were coordinated by Film Exhibitors Ltd (Gibraltar) - the first show being an open-air event, staged at Gibraltar’s town square, "Casemates Square", on Tuesday 7th August 2007, which was televised by local television station GBC; the second show was staged at Queensway Quay, Gibraltar, for the inauguration of the Gibraltar Summer Fair on Saturday 18th August 2007. Whilst previous tour history also includes Hosting & Support Shows for top international tribute artists Nova Casper & Gerry Trew.
All of the material that I perform are well known pop/rock covers, ranging from Elton John, The Eagles, Ronan Keating, etc, through to The Rolling Stones, Robbie Williams & Ricky Martin...
Good Causes:
For those of you that haven't visited my website; I would like to mention some good causes & charities that I am currently or have recently supported... Life is so short and all to often I feel that "we" (globally speaking) - or perhaps I should say that at least I feel that I don't do all that I could to help those around me in this world that are less fortunate or are suffering... I have added or am in the process of adding good causes & charities that I support to my "myspace" account - others are listed on my website under "good causes" at www.steve-adams.co.uk. Please take a moment to read about these really worthy causes and, if you are able to, please do pledge your support... The charities & good causes that I am currently supporting or have recently supported are NSPCC, msf, Little Havens, Water Aid & Macmillan... And I'm sure there will be more soon...

Your Song

Although I'm always trying to make sure that my set lists change and my repetoir evolves, or grows; there are just some songs that always seem to be there...

"Jumping Jack Flash" (originally performed by the Rolling Stones) - I almost can't imagine this song not forming part of my set; it's always been a favourite of mine and has always been there as one of the standard songs that I perform...

"Addicted To Love" (originally by Robert Palmer) - fantastic song, or at least I believe so; I've always loved this song - from the very first time that I heard it and, again, I just can't imagine not covering it.

"I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues" (originally by Elton John) - again, one of those songs that I've always loved; in fact, more often than not this is my opening number; I feel so comfortable with this track and enjoy singing it so much...

Then there are songs such as "She Bangs" (originally by Ricky Martin); what can I say? Fantastic pop song! Good clean fun and a little bit raunchy! I love it...! "She Bangs" regularly appears in my set list....!

"The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You" (originally by Bryan Adams) - another regular for me.... Again, I liked this song so much from the very first time I heard it and love performing it....!

"Drift Away" (originally by Dobie Gray) - what a fantastic track and it always amazes me how many people know this song old & young alike... It's been a favourite of mine for so many years...
